*** Official BioShock 2 Thread ***

No way, I am absolutely gutted that there will be no 360 pad support. I couldn't get into the first on mouse/keys, which is unusual for a FPS but I thoroughly enjoyed it on pad. I think 2k games are cutting their own throats with this one, I won't be buying it :(

For those who may be interested in the multiplayer side of this game there is a spreadsheet here which we can use to keep track of GFWL tags :)

Though it's probably going to be an horrendous lag fest considering the lack of dedis.

lol. Never heard of someone boycotting an fps game on the pc because it doesn't have pad support. :p

There are already work arounds for games that don't support pads on the pc. I think xpadder is the program that allows you to use a pad on pretty much any pc game.

I always prefer FPS games on mouse/keyboard, but for some reason I really didn't enjoy Bioshock like that. I left it unplayed for months until I got a 360 pad and decided to try it again, with a pad I really enjoyed it. If it were any other game I wouldn't mind but i've looked forward to BS2 for ages, and xpadder is generally pretty poor for FPS games.

BS1 did feel strange with a KB and mouse I must admit. I had to play about with the mouse speed to get it feeling right and then just got used to it after a while.

I already pre orderd it on steam but the DRM is making me think about getting it refunded.

I'll be disappointed if they don't include 360 pad support. They implemented it really well in the original and I had planned on playing the sequel on my TV.

It is a PC, you make it work with a Gamepad :)

I would rather they have optimised keyboard/mouse support and we add gamepad support ourselves instead of gamepad with medicore keyboard/mouse support.

Ditto - every time i go revisit it it takes me quite sometime to get used to it again. Think it was a UE3 issue as i had similar issues with other games on it.
Hopefully solved.

Just seems stupid that they had pretty much the perfect working example of 360 pad support in a PC game and they abandoned it in the sequel.
