Wtf!? Never mind GTA, they will all be going mad about MW2 now, that opening is pretty awful, and even I am fairly blazze about that sort of thing. too far

Well... I know its only a video game but that got a reaction from me. Doing what its supposed to i suppose. But its a bit horrible shooting down innocent people in an airport tbh.

The tesco by mine was doing FIFA for £25 and actually took a big hit because of it, they expected mums to be in getting their weekly shop and picking up the game for little timmy along the way, when in reality, most people just went in and bought game. If it's the same with MW2 I'll probably pop in at midnight. Girlfriend works part time at a games retailer though so I could always just use the staff discount there, probably still be more expensive than a supermarket though.

I got 2 copies of WaW for £25 on launch day from a supermarket.

watchout with the midnight visit. my mate went in tescos on the day of release at about 1am to get the game. paid full whack. 7 hours later and it was down to 25. wooops.

That won't happen with MW2 tbh.. Judging on COD4 that kept it's high value for so long I guess they'l keep it up for quite a while..

also.. the opening scene is awesome ;o

Was that sort of thing popular back then? I mean massive prices cuts on games. I honestly cant remember but it seems to happen a lot more these days. I'll stand corrected though;.

Hmmm, that opening is not going to go down well with a lot of people.

It's one thing watching a cutscene showing other characters doing something like that, but an entire level played by the user doing something like that?

Personally, I am quite looking forward to it now and might even pre-order just for that section! Not because I like what's happening, but because I take my hat off to IW for pushing limits like that

Blown away by the opening level (if true)

It's going to cause a right **** storm when it gets released, I just showed my manager and she is now refusing to buy it for her son if it's real.

I was going to get this for xmas but I might get it early now as I feel after the initial release and certain groups get involved it could well be cut out of future copies. It's going to be very interesting how that open level plays out in the full game.

But then again, couldn't they just patch the game to make this level inaccessible?

I am not sure at all, it depends how it fits in with the rest of the game, it might not be possible.

Does make me want to get it on day one though, even though I'm going to be skint next month.

There obviously isn't that much of a problem or the game wouldn't have passed classification without issues.

well, just watched a bit of the start scene and yes its shocking/inappropriate considering the current climate of extremist etc but it was only months & years ago we were playing GTA4, while it may not be the same scenario, you were still killing innocent people in the game and that seemed ok for the masses.

It’s interesting where this will go once the game is out, I think it will naturally lead to the game's popularity growing more from all the bad (maybe) press.

ps. video quality is poor at its best but the dynamics look really good, can’t wait

Is it wrong that amongst the atrocity that the player is causing, the bullets flying everywhere, the lack of empathy for fellow man, I thought 'Wow, the physics on the guy hitting the deck are awesome!!'.
