Not a full list yet unfortunately, just what people have picked up from watching the videos as far as I can tell.

As much as I loved playing COD4, I just wish there was a way to filter out all the perks and weapon ad ons. Just play the game with the bare minimum so its all an even playing field.

Probably the reason why I played on nothing but hardcore servers.

One of things about COD4 that made it so good was the perk and weapon options system.

It allows players to customise there equiptment for there play style. Eg Silencers and UAV jammers to go unnoticed., or Red dots to help aiming

I do think Hardcore evens things out as on Normal the M16 just kicks arse over anything else. Plus the radar gives too much away on Normal.

I'm not saying I didn't like the perk system, was just saying it gets a little hectic with constant abuse of some of those perks. I guess what I am saying is, I'd like a more simple slower paced mode for when the crazyness of constant grenades and air strikes get too much.

Totally agree. TBH I really like COD but I dont like all the extras. If I could just play the core game without airstrikes etc... I'd love it. I get bored pretty quickly though and this new version seems to be going in the wrong direction for me which is why I wont be buying it and picking up operation flashpoint instead.

True..... COD4 was an excellent game, I did enjoy it. I played through the single player missions quite a few times, as they were impressive, the AC130 mission and the SAS mission where you sneak around were excellent, so yes it was quality over quantity...

As I said, giving it a miss until it drops in price.... then I'll pick a copy up, if the reviews are up to it... :)
 
Is there not a multiplayer mode in COD4 called "Old School" or something like that which is just like the original Duty games. Normal weapons, no perks? Not sure about no perks, but im pretty sure you just get a standard weapon and pick up what you can find.

You will be waiting a long time then. COD4 hasnt dropped much at all since the 2 years its been out.

Just think how much you'll play it, if COD4 is anything to go by ill play MW2 for 300 hours.

Yar, twas called Hardcore mode I believe! Made me realise how much I love loadouts and perks lol
 
Hardcore is where people have lower health and no radar, old school is where you have weapon pickups (and perks iirc) on the floor ala Halo 3.
 
In old school you pick up single perks as well. Its very very good fun and a mode I'd neglected until recently. No one really plays it from here in a party so I've never bothered with it.

I was hoping they would allow ranking in custom games as well because you can have much more fun playing 6v6 with friends but no one wants to because of the pretigue system and playing without ranking up.
 
From watching the trailer, I like the way it displays a little banner saying who you've killed and which country they're from.

Aye, looks like you're right. Because I saw the Swiss flag, British flag (and a German flag I thought but which wasn't the case) I thought it was a country banner. But yeah, it looks like you pick a callsign for your man - the Swiss flag turns out to be "surgical" so must have been a medic, the British flag was "the Specialist" whatever that is.

Jeez, I'm having a **** afternoon on these forums with stupid posts. I'm going to play a game.
