The developer commented that they game doesn't really have any textures yet, EVERYTHING you see in that video is a placeholder and it's going to have the same dark, gritty atmosphere of the original Carmageddon and not the cartoony visual style of Carmageddon II.
5 of the original 8 are working on this including the original physics coder which is music to my ears as the physics in the first two were perfect. Also rumors that the original Fear Factory sound track is returning along with an up to date version of the original intro movie.

Id be happy with the original intro movie to be honest, adds some nostalgia to the game etc, but i guess people who havent played Carma at all wouldnt like it.

Will be closely keeping my eye on this, I thoroughly enjoyed both Carmageddon's 1 & 2. Damn the amount of hours I spent on both of these during the late 90's was unbelievable (and I was only 9/10 at the time!) Carmageddon 2 was easily one of the best PC games of the 90's without a doubt, and to hear that most of the guys who made the original games are also working on this new Reincarnation is just excellent.
I will never forget Carmageddon's original Fear Factory intro and every time I hear that song elsewhere it instantly reminds me on the game
What would be the icing on the cake for me would for this new release to also feature some new up to date Iron Maiden material, just like Carmageddon 2 did
