Crysis is a different game to Crysis 2/3, main reason being that it was a PC exclusive and hence there are certain aspects of it that Crysis 2/3 can never recreate, chief among those is the sheer amount of detail and size of the maps. As someone has already mentioned, there is a dynamic and natural beauty to Crysis that it's successors can't put across.
Sure, the graphics in Crysis 2/3 look more refined, but it's a far more static and small scale affair compared to Crysis.

The reason why crysis 2 and 3 are set in cities is because consoles cannot cope in jungle ect environments
Will play some more later but to me so far it is crysis 2.5, not 3
You don't know that for a fact, if they had done another Jungle game it would have been their fourth Jungle game in a row (farcry, crysis, crysis warhead, crysis2), not think that environment would be getting more than a little stale by that point?
It was inevitable that an Alien invasion storyline would have to move to capital cities, regardless of the game also appearing on console or not, fighting it out on just an island across 3 games (and an expansion) without involving Cities at some point would make zero sense.
It might of been from you guys or just browsing the net, but the PS3 cant handle big open spaces like in crysis 1, so thats the reason all crysis games are set in cities
what kind of internet you got, mine was done in half hour
Not had much time to do anything lately but thought I'd fire it up and give it a 'quick' go as I had an hour to spare.
Watched the intro pressed X to to take control of the game after it loaded up to be greeted with 'dxgi error device removed', using 13.2 beta5+6, stock clocks(stock voltage and added voltage) on the 7950 same issue despite the C3 beta playing fine, not happy.
Googled it, found out it's a known issue(since the alpha), bigger Nvidia problem in comparison, but it's definitely not an Nvidia exclusive problem despite what a lot of people are posting online.
I will try 13.1's(performance tanking) when I get time and report back.

Got it installed, have to drop the texture pack/res down to high otherwise game runs horribly, also can't go pass SMAA medium or again FPS drop by like 30. So right now I have SMAA on medium, texture res/pack set to high and everything else set to "high" with the shadow settings to medium and motion blur disabled and I haven't seen the game drop below 45FPS on my PC, usually always around 50-70FPS (i5 750 @stock, MSI 7850 2GB OC with latest stable ATI drivers, 8GB RAM @1080P) Could probably increase a few things to very high.
Could run crysis 2 more or less on max settings (including the high res. texture pack and Dx11) and get much better performance.
Only played 2 missions so far but I don't think the game looks much, if any better than crysis 2 and it feels/plays the exact same so far as crysis 2 does, although you definitely seem to have more room/space to run around etc. I love the bow! BTW you can walk over to where the arrow impacted i.e. dead body and you automatically pick the arrow up again, just like far cry 3

Im disagree. Maybe you just need a new graphics card and play it maxed. This video from 'albert' post 432 shows its better than Crysis 2 (even modded Crysis 2)

I have yet to play it but will make a full comment on graphics, gameplay and what fps I get soon
