700 gamer, i had one before I got my M17x, very powerful laptop mine ran Crysis 2 quite well, 7970m in my M17x is even quicker with crysis 2, ultra details using Maldo HD mod, it looks stunning and plays at av 45fps max everything.. impressive mobile gpu's out there nowadays.

Not expecting to get max settings 1080p with Crysis 3 now after reading the comments in this thread ... :p

Definitely a much better game than Crysis 2 (which I still enjoyed). The visuals are definitely the best I've ever seen. Just a bit worried by the reports of 5 hour game length :(
 
I have been playing with the pre-sets and tbh I can not notice any difference between anything over medium. High and Very high look identical to me ? It's like my game is not changing anything ?
 
I cannot get rid of the rubber banding effect. It seems to happen even on low settings and randomly in any area 1080p and 1440p. The game just slows then speeds up for no real reason. No amount of setting fiddling seems to make a difference. It's a pain as otherwise it runs perfectly acceptable.

Is anyone else using a 7950 and having this issue ?

I'm getting something like that, sorta like mouse acceleration is on then off when looking about or trying to aim, spoiling the game for me atm (gtx480)
 
Don't get some of the negativity towards this game, I enjoyed Crysis 2 and this is even better, love the multiplayer :)

My little 680 runs it well.........untill I tried that config file that was posted, then it was terrible. Think I ended up on high with shadows/post processing etc medium with 2xaa 16af 1200P, can not use Vsync as it makes the mouse laggy so frame limited it to 58fps and any dips are barely noticable maybe about 45 is the lowest I've seen.
I would check your CPU, this game is pushing mine to close to 60c max, higher than Prime :eek: (that will be the case heat from GPU)
 
I've got 2x 670 GTXs and a 3770k @ 5Ghz and it runs really well on here, everything on max and 4xAA,

It looks stunning, the best looking game ever - just wish it played like it. If it had a similar style to FO3 or any of the borderlands games it'd literally be the best thing ever, but it's just a scripted walkthrough, 'defeat the bad guys, get to the end of the level'

Fixed mine by re-installing the game and graphics drivers to the latest beta. Now have 2560x1440 and a Mix of Very high and high settings and it is running perfect with only the occasional bit of minor slowdown. Max GPU temp is 54.c with 7950 and Accelero cooler.

Crysis 1 is a much better game and tbh even without mods still looks better than 3 to me. 3 is small areas crammed with so much in your face stuff trying to hide the fact its a small area on rails shooter.

It's ok just not great in any way.

I disagree, I think it looks a lot better than Crysis 1!
