*****Official Crysis 3 Thread*****

well my game is now starting to crash,i was wondering if it was something to do with my 560ti.on the core 970 it just crashes at random areas now,so i put it to the default setting which is 880 core, and it seems ok. all my games run fine overclocked at 970 core,it just seems that crysis 3 does not work :D even on medium and low setting crash! but my frames are good on high (average fps are 50) so im clueless now lol.

Run the game in borderless Window mode if you want to play the game with no screen tearing meaning you can disable v sync

I ran the game full screen, and my fps dropped to 30fps and wouldn't budge with v sync enabled, took v sync off and it tore and ruined it for me.

so bordeless window mode, and now it moves along with high details at av 45fps much better, and better for ALT TAB anyhow..

I can't find the option for borderless window?

My mini hungover review

I have only played it a bit but its stunning and there are some fantastic effects. The best character models I have seen in any game. Textures and very good and lighting is amazing

It is rather crippling on hardware - I can run constant loops of Heaven and other benchmarks but this crashed so have had to down clock memory a bit on my GTX670. Max power draws goes to a whopping 130% (playing for an hour or so)

Playing in 2560 x 1440 and averaging 30fps which is easily playable (IMO of course) 1080p runs much better (~45fps) but looks rubbish in comparison. This is with all settings maxed, 16xAF, no motion blue, no AA.

Here's a few screenshots, importantly showing my fps and a 1440p vs 1080p comparison

Am I correct in assuming that I will struggle on a 30inch screen at 2560 x 1600 on a i5 4.2GHz machine with a pair of GTX 570's?

I don't mind turning things like AA off, but I hate to lose any details.

Cheers.

I assume this has full controller support? Fancy playing it on my sofa on the nice tv is all! Only concern is i just tried crysis 1 and 2 and seem to be getting a big delay from the controller, unsure why! Its usually fine on other games so just bit worried

More than likely, I'm struggling to max it on my highly clocked GTX670 @ 1080p.

If my guess is correct and your SLI 570s are about the same speed as my 670, then it will struggle at 1600p

1440p averages 30fps on my overclocked 670

Try running heaven 4 benchmark - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18487976. If you are running into the 1000s region then you should be fine

Depends what vram your 570s have too

Just got my key pretty much instant, downloading now at 5mps gonna take 50 mins. Looking forward to seeing how pretty this game is and playing with a crossbow:cool:

Cheers chaps.

Will run then heaven benchmark and see.

Unfortunately I do have standard 570's, so it is 1.2 gig of ram on each.

I would say that anything in the region of 30fps would be ideal, but from what I have read, even that is unlikely.

You will be extremely limited by the 1.2gb vram at 1600p. This was one of the reasons I sold my 570 1.2gb and moved to a 670 2gb. I hazard a guess at it running 1600p at ~15fps

Try it and see it runs crappy on pretty much everything with some weird slowdown in not very busy places. My 690 PC has issues and I'm not convinced its a hardware issue. .
