*****Official Crysis 3 Thread*****

Currently downloading, expecting it to really hurt my system on very high settings, but from what I can make out, the game still looks very good on medium settings, and many of the details, especially shadows and other such intensive settings don't take much away from the game.

Shadows will gain you about 10 fps from very high to medium... but

very high shadows look fantastic, best shadows and shadow effects i have seen in a game. Ill play with them on very high ~30fps is fine for me. Maybe another GTX670 is in order

I fixed all my slowdown problems by turning off V-sync. With it disabled it's running 2560x1440 max detail with no slowdown. You get some tearing but it runs so much better.

Yea thats all i want is solid 30fps at 1080p i hope my kit can achieve this, i play a lot of ps3 so framerate isnt huge for me on single player games

Apparently the poor/inconsistent performance is due to the physics of the game, to be specific, a piece of rope moving :p :o (well for the first level anyway, but surely it would apply throughout?):

Hopefully crytek will sort this out.

Although I tweaked my settings so now everything is running on high except shadows is set to medium and AA to SMAA low x1 with no motion blur and high res. texture pack, game is much smoother, still notice some stutters every now and then.

if playing @1080p

You should be able to play with high/very high settings.

I play on a MSI OC 7850 2GB, i5 750 stock, 8GB RAM and it is running smooth for the majority of time on the settings above.

I want to play this but not sure what performance i can expect on my GTX670 Ref card.

Im guessing medium settings for me.

Depends what FPS you are happy with. if ~45fps very high will be fine

If you want 60fps+ then you will have to drop some settings

I play very high 1440p ~30fps

I was going great guns on this, getting decent frame rates and now I'm getting the DX device removed message after the game crashes! The graphics seem to be getting better with each level.

Im proper stuck on a level on this and its doing my head in!!!!

I've just done the bit with a lot of driving (mission from last maybe?) I've destroyed some generator and now it wants me to go to a control room thats surrounded by a deadly drop all round and no way to get to it. Is this a bug or something?

Been trying now for 30 minutes, even trying to glitch it, pile stuff up but still no luck.

**** i'm raging :mad::mad::mad:

im getting 30fps using a GTX 570 Classified on the High settings. anything above that it becomes 21fps.
i need another GTX570 Classified but now discontinued.

Lol that took me like 15 minutes to work out too, must have ran around in circles like 20 times.

There is a bridge that is raised up, go to where it should connect to the other side and there is a machine/console nearby that allows you to lower it.

What kind of settings should I expect to be able to run smoothly at 1080p on 3570k @ 4.8/ 7950?

Haven't bought it yet but may do after I finish Crysis 2.
