*****Official Crysis 3 Thread*****

How the heck did it take you that long?!?! Were you just standing still looking at things for about 15 minutes :D :p

I never rush through games, always take my time and explore every area (where it benefits the game) and this is without a doubt the shortest single player game I have ever played :(

I take my time play around a bit check out the textures and scenery and I did the side missions. I only play for a short time at a go so for me it was about right.

Must have gone sightseeing. :D

and I did the side missions.

I did all the secondary missions as well, still only took just over 5.5 hrs.:(

Having a few problems.

6970
Phenom II x 6
8 gig memory

Played the first level no problem had tweak it to get it run smooth but thats another issue. Anyways try to load 2nd level and it just crashes.

Seems a lot of people have the same issue. Deleted temp folder, reinstalled, checked my drivers.

Any other thoughts?

Just got to the last boss room, and the boss doesn't spawn. :(

Game is trolling me? Tried reloading the level and no joy. Couple of other people having the same issue on the forums. Not sure what to do with it really now!

The game is really short yes. I took my time using some stealth and doing some bits a little more gung-ho. Took about 4.5Hrs. It's the sort of game I could play through again though and the MP is fun.

Seriously impressed with the graphics. It shows whats possible with no limits ie something which isn't ported from consoles instead ported to them so it isn't restricted. It really is impressive.

On a 680 GTX @ 1920x1080 I run it with FXAA which doesn't hit the FPS like some of the other AA options and still looks great. Also disable v sync as that causes a fair bit of slowdown. Set shadows, shaders and water to high and everything else to very high (max) and I could play with highs of 80-100fps in buildings and on average 50-70 outside. only seeing drops to low 40's in the outside grassy areas with a lot happening.

I'm about 4 hours in, so sounds like I might be near the end, it's been great fun sneaking around and using the bow, and taking in the eye candy.

Tried your tips (FXAA, disabled vsync) and it's now running really well on my GTX 670, everything on very high and it's still very playable.

I keep getting killed though because I'm standing around looking at particularly nice lighting effects, an alien will sneak up and punch me to the ground while I'm distracted. :)

I think the GTX570 SSC FTW should handle it fine going by posts earlier about it running great on similar or lower cards with FXAA at 1080P although I'm at 1440P :S

multiplayer crippled my gtx570 in 1440p - just not enought vram (1280mb i think it was)

I think the game time is a lot less than the real played time, maybe they don't count all the deaths/retrys etc..

I thought there were some tough bits, but with a game like this some would avoid with Cloak so depending how you play it could be a massive difference in game duration and obviously also related to the game challenge level you selected.

I played at Soldier level the first time, now playing at Veteran level and actually finding it easier. Also killing everything that moves and exploring the environment before moving on to next level. Finding a lot more stuff than I did first time round. So will see how long this run takes.
