Official Crysis Demo thread

there was a torrent of it on that mini place...reading the comments he stopped seeding because it would have taken longer for him to seed it than the actual demo coming out......even then you would still need to register/unlock it with EA.

The game is for now, just put it on High not Verry high if your system cant handle it, some people cant even play now a-day games on there systems on low, let alone able to play crysis its self.

i think its a good thing if you can upgrade your hardware in a years time and make some of your old games look better.
im not saying games shouldnt be optimised well..ut3 is a shining example of how good an engine can be and should be....but its also nice that they have taken the time to give it higher textures for when ppl upgrade.
 
I get 10to20fps on very high with 4xaa and at 1920x1200 or something like that resolution. Medium and no aa gets me 30+ depending on what im doing. TBH games running like crap on my pc something must be wrong with my comp. :(

Also why cant I chose a higher resolution like 2560x1600? My screen supports it.

On very high the game looks really good. Anyone playing the game on very high 30+fps?

You tried the new drivers, I have similar spec to you but no demo :(
 
Ok, just finished the demo, and I am VERY impressed!
It selected 'very high' on everything for optimal settings which I was a bit suprised at! I ran it on this, but it was very jittery, not really playable.
The physics are awesome, very half life 2ish!
The graphics are simply staggering, there is sooo much detail.

Imo, all that will let it down is a poor single player.

what FPS were u getting and at what reS?
 
Rofl, seems the demo still has **** poor performance, on incrysis someone with this spec;
Intel Core 2 Extreme @ 3.4, 4GB RAM, nvidia 8800 GTX 764MB, Vista 64-bit at a resolution 1280x1024 in dx10, was getting 41fps max in MEDIUM.
