Just ran the same benchmarks in XP and I get some boosts.

CPU - Everything on High - 1680 x 1050 - XP
Average FPS: 22.31
CPU - Everything on High - 1680 x 1050 - Vista
Average FPS: 17.25

GPU - Everything on High - 1680 x 1050 - XP
Average FPS: 23.61
GPU - Everything on High - 1680 x 1050 - Vista
Average FPS: 17.51

CPU - Everything on Medium- 1680 x 1050 - XP
Average FPS: 42.76
CPU - Everything on Medium- 1680 x 1050 - Vista
Average FPS: 29.50

GPU - Everything on Medium- 1680 x 1050 - XP
Average FPS: 44.84
GPU - Everything on Medium- 1680 x 1050 - Vista
Average FPS: 28.53

anyone got any graphical glitches. i seem to have grown a second pair of arms and a gun as tho i have another person slightly taller stretching his arms around me?
sometimes get a quick flash of a black screen when grenades go off. no other explosions are affected however?

very good game. AI is ok, not amazing however

1.7gb sounds about right....gamershell have it up aswell and its 1.77gb

Go to the games explorer (in vista) and re-run those tests for vista by right clicking the exe and selecting play in dx9. Just want to make sure that dx10 effects were fully disabled.

Quick question, when you change firing modes, you have single shot, burst/automatic and something else, looks like some kind of dart from the small picture? It fires a single shot and it takes a bit to 'recharge/cooldown'?

this is exactly the reason why i dont have vista installed anymore...as much as i would love to play games in dx10 and kinda like the pretty vista interface........its a fps killer
it just cant compete with xp when it comes to games

I've noticed a few glitches.

AI is good. I went into cloak mode and ran up behind this dude then he pulled out his penis and started urinating. That made me furious so i shot him in the back of the head execution style. :mad:

wouldnt run dx10 mode for me , had to roll back

Yup, I found they give a consistant framerate during combat rather than the fps dipping down.

but why? crysis has a real story and is not just a series of missions, it looks better plus...it's different, cod4 is just the same as cod2 except modern time
