A pretty good After Action report from BeachAv8r (PCPilot writer)

http://www.mudspike.com/dcs-world2-the-enemy-within/

Georgia is once again under threat – this time by a terrorist organization called the Caucasus Liberation Army (CLA). Following several terrorist attacks Georgia has requested the assistance of its allies (including the United States) to combat the threat.

Screaming for DCS2 here, it looks so good... it just needs to arrive..

I've been having fun doing Dragon's custom missions, practising landing at full weight in a storm with a 40 mph crosswind is quite good fun!

That was very good :D

I thought for sure you were too steep but it was quite a nice landing.

I stopped playing DCS/IL-2/etc when I moved out of my flat a few years ago (into GF's parents house) and didn't have anywhere to setup again. Now that I have my own place and a new box I'm finding the effort to get setup a huge barrier :/ These sims are amazing but they take so much effort to get into. Even just setting up the controls can be hours of tweaking.

What is the multiplayer like on DCS today? It used to be nonextant, to be frank. Which always felt like a loss.

Very nice job by Wags, he'd make a good Nevada tour guide :) Nuclear test range looked scary.

The City from the 51 minute to the 57th minute of the stream was amazing - thousands of houses, hundreds of cars on car parks and on the roads, cranes, road signes, solar panels - all with dynamic shadows and very nice LODs with next to no popup and great fps... Wow! :)

lol thanks! :D

the hardest part is the approach as you have to stay yawed straight into the headwind, which means more power and overall just lots more to do than just a steady glide downward.. might try the night version later lol (without NV!)

thanks, it sure is pretty

Do you have any good tutorials you would like added to the thread ?

Just though I'd bump this.

It's been 3.5 months now since buying the Hawk addon, not a peep or a bugfix from them since.

Do not buy.

TBH I could relate that to every module that every third party has released so far.

ED have a real problem here, as third party developers will be less supported by the paying customer in the future..

I never ever buy new modules now, as 1 month later they are in a sale. I got the Hawk for £11 about 4 or 5 weeks after release...
