Meh i think i screwed up somewhere, 2nd boss thing, i just cannot get a beat on her, most of the praxis ive put put into hacking and other stuff, so i dont have typhoon or any dermal armour :( went into the fight without really knowing it was there and ive not got any nades..:( do believe im screwed.

I had no armour or combat upgrades at the time too, it was tough but my tactic was to keep moving constantly, take a couple shots when I can and move on. Keep hit and running, you will regen if you get hit a bit but the boss wont, so just be patient and don't try to rush it.

For the person who asked about AUGs, I would suggest jump height and lift heavy objects can be useful as it will give you access to areas normaly unavailable, as will the breaking walls but usualy I found the wall breaking just opened up an alternative way to get around a hack, so in most cases wall breaking is less of a priority, same with the safe fall aug.

If you plan on using stealth more than combat then I suggest augs that help with tracking, hacking and cloak. If you don't mind killing then armour and steady aim upgrades can be useful. Also try and get the takedown 2 oponents at once, It was SO useful when I got it, I just wish I got it MUCH earlier in the game as I wasted so much time trying to disable 2 enemies close together when I can only takedown 1.

Do you have the stun gun? If so use that on her, paralyses her for a few seconds, then take shots at her - plenty of guns in lockers in that room... my early praxis all went on hacking and stealth and managed it fine :)

Currently 26hours in and just arrived at Singapore, no-one killed as of yet - and to my knowledge no alarms set off... other then the ones that are part of story

Annoyingly... based on where I think I am in the game I may have missed the Talion AD side mission (going by the achievements...) - SUPER LAME :(

Not even finished yet so might have a good 1-3 more Praxis Points to gain at least ><

Talion AD happens very late in the game. I've got it now, though I think it glitched, it wouldn't update. I reloaded before I went in and saved anyway, think its time I went to bed. You'll get it in a LIMB clinic.

I don't get what all the fuss was about on the second boss. Sure she took me by surprise early on and took me from 200hp to 10hp but that was kinda my own fault for running into my own EMP Mine. Several EMP and Concussion Mines and an awful lot of pistol headshots later (I had no armour upgrades, all sprinting upgrades and 1 recoil reduction upgrade) and I had 1 dead boss.

As I mentioned in a previous post, I got lucky with that boss. I tried and tried, but gave up. Went back to try and get enough XP for another Praxis point, but missed it by a sodding 95XP. Decided to go back to the boss and did it first go, and quite quickly to boot.

Without the armour upgrade, all I can suggest is to use your most upgraded weapon while taking it as slow as possible. Don't rush or do anything risky.

I found the second boss hard. I've not spent many praxis points, I had ~11 at the time of the boss so I could have easily put points into something to make it easier.

I used what little amount of mines and grenades I had and shooting her in the head with a shotgun.

I eventually used the PMP and then came across some sort of bug as she just stood still letting me just unload all my shells into her head at point blank range.

I wouldn't worry too much about praxis kits as you can get by with surprisingly little. I really should use up these kits at some point before the end (currently at Belltower Dock, 47 hours in  )

Currently up to the warehouse/lab where you come out of the elevator and see your first big robot thingy.

I keep getting absolutely smashed. I can take the robot and the Mercs, easy enough, but there's always one plank that lobs a grenade at me and takes me out.

I'm not going all stealth, or all guns blazing, just doing whatever works for me at the time, but this is irritating. :p

Shes easy once you work out what she does and that once she see's she will charge you and you must run for it when she get close.
What I did is when she charges shoot her for a few sec's then turn and run and repeat 3-4 times then she went down I was using combat rifle thou.

It might have glitched for me then - been to the LIMB Clinic done the other side quests and even the pre-order Tong mission.... just left the Belltower Dock :(

Hacking is the thing I've found most useful and was the augmentation I concentrated on first. I've also found cloak to be highly useful in the later stages of the game as well (it's probably made me a bit lazy, though, as with it I'm able to be a bit more rushy during the stealth sections, but its certainly saved my hide on a few occasions).

You don't really need much during the early stages of the game, so it's probably a good idea to fully upgrade hacking before anything else. Can get XP quite quickly if you hack everything you come across as well.

Would have to agree with this.

Also get the "fall from any height and survive" aug - purely because it looks so cool.

You've got to talk to 1 of the doctors to get it. He tries to get your attention when you're in there so he might still be there if you can get back.

For the second boss just spend all of your time not shooting running the hell away. You can chuck the odd mine behind you if she looks like she's chasing you, just be careful not to run into it yourself.

Fully upgraded my Pistol now and it kicks some serious ass. The armour piercing mod combined with the RoF and Damage upgrades (plus now I have zero recoil) and the Laser makes it go exactly where I point and I can rapid fire it for some serious damage. I've also just upgraded my Revolver with explosive rounds so I'll be trying that on the next boss.

I'm going my first playthrough still but I'm going stealth/hacking (because I'm a sneaky snake) and I got past that part easily. Just go up the stairs and take out the guards at the top one by one. Then just carry on.

I was in the Hive doing a stealthy play through, I alerted a guard by mistake, next second 10 guards were coming at me, I stocked up on max energy, concussion grenade and a load of double take downs :D

Na - cant get back now - and no previous save to reload... i was in there and did some exploring but no-one tried to get my attention... oh well :(

I have the fully upgraded pistol too... shame I can't use it - I am not killing anyone... be good to have a New+ game so I can go in fully upgraded and kill folk!

Why aren't people using their praxis points, I mean I have a couple spare just in case but 24

Yeah no idea, I can understand if they exclusively don't want to only do stealth/hacking upgrades but, clearly not by the fact they haven't got the silent movement.
Dunno.

Finding the second playthrough less fun than I imagined, non stealth all guns out is just too damned easy, even on hardest difficulty a headshot will kill most enemies in one shot and the cover makes you pretty much invulnerable.

How long roughly would it take to play through the first two games? I want to play them before this..

How comes? This is set before the first so it woulnd't really ruin anything?

Also Invisible War is a joke, most ignore it as part of the franchise - but the first can be LONG - I honestly can't remember for definite but it must have racked up to 40+ hours

The thing about Run Silent is that it costs energy and if you're going for stealth takedowns (which is what I'm doing) then you need a full bar to do it. Cloaking can be useful for rare situations where you need to use an energy bar but otherwise I don't want to use energy.

You won't miss anything from the story given that its a prequel but you can really see the connections the moment they drop names. It also means you probably see the build up to the second boss coming a mile away. Also a few easter eggs here and there.

It never crossed your mind that you can use the silent running (with it's incredibly slow drain rate) when you need it and turn it off before it takes down a bar?

I never had an issue with not having enough energy, but I was always careful with turning abilities off before they consumed an entire bar, unless I needed to. In tandem with x2 takedowns and the stun gun, you're doing something wrong if it's a problem.

Why didn't you think of this?

PS, Stealth doesn't use an energy bar either, it drains over time, don't be a spazz and time things.
Many times I've used cloaking and silent running together to dart from one box to another without using a single bar up, helps to have faster sprinting too.
