*****Official Deus Ex 3: Human Revolution discussion thread*****

I keep seeing this pic appearing everywhere, but the thing is....and here is the thing.....there is no TANK build!!

I went full hack and stealth and never bought the armour upgrades like it seems EVERYONE else.....well okay my second run through I got the armour upgrades and....well what else is there for the tank build? upgrading the inventory is what I did on my stealth build, you have to do that...

What about the aiming....well it is kind of stupid because you fight mostly in short corridors behind boxes...like the stealth build....

So basically just go hacker and instead of the energy or sprint options, just get the armour

Agreed. For the first boss I just shot some of the gas canisters in the corner of the room, then planted a few bullets in him. All other bosses were killed with two shots of the Typhoon, excellent :)

I found the bosses got easier as time goes on - even if you're going for a stealth approach, keep the grenade launcher you get given for rescuing someone in Hengsha (I think that has avoided any spoilers :p). That thing is awesome against bosses.

Typhoon is imbalanced, the bit were the CEO of Tai Yong goes into a panic room and an army comes into the room? One shot them all instantly with Typhoon.

Robots? Hacking the terminal takes too long, one shotted instantly with Typhoon.

Makes a mockery of any stealth or other tactics once you've got it at level 2 :p

you dont get much typhoon ammo? can you buy?

I only have 3 so I never used yet been saving

It depends how the game supports certain buffering or page flipping methods. You can indeed triple buffer without vsync.

Without vsync enabled it's probable your card will run a fair bit hotter since the soft 60 fps limit will not be in effect.

I've completed it, took me 36 hours and I almost filled out every augment :)
The ending was a bit underwhelming but never the less it was still a brilliant game to play through!
I can see some why some people got tired of the endless reading and hacking but the truth is I don't think you are supposed to play this game in one long stint. I found it much more enjoyable taking me time.

I think that's a bug though. I've had it where I'm clearly shooting someone in say the arm with the tranq gun and it kills them. Only solution seems to be to move that person to a different spot and then tranq them.

There's more to it than just that though...

I'm doing a no kills walkthrough, and I've been checking each body to make sure they're unconscious.

Down in the sewers near derelict row I took down three gang bangers (two with takedown and one with tranq). When I took them down they were all unconscious (zzz), and safely positioned (not in the water, or otherwise near to anything dangerous).

When I came back through that section an hour or so later, while doing the main quest mission, I noticed that all three of them were dead  [skulls not 'zzz']. So, I guess I won't be able to get pacifist this time around... I haven't seen anyone die due to the tranq gun yet though....

Game is too easy imo. Playing on hardest setting and it's too easy to simply trip an alarm and then gun down all the guards as they come running.

That's not to say I don't enjoy it, but it would be nice to have the feeling that it's imperative that you stay undetected, now and again.
