2.5-3-3-7, just stick it on a divider and you won't notice the slower RAM in the slightest.

Meridian said:So basically there's no way out? I thought that the memory bandwidth must be involved somehow, but dropping the HTT/fsb to 2.0 makes no difference. I might try a couple of other teaks when I get the time (I was a bit rushed today) but I may have to resort to running at 270 x 10 and tightening the RAM settings. know this makes next to no difference to perfrmance though. I also can't see any point in running a higher bus and lower RAM divider. Shame, I'd like the bragging rights of a 300MHz fsb.

I RMA'd the dead 1 gig ballistix stick (the machine wouldnt even post), and bought a cheap yet bomb-proof 256 MB bit of crap from a local shop. Now, although it boots, the whole system just keeps rebooting itself after a couple of minutes in windows, which claims its a device driver problem. As such im a bit wary about flashing the bios, but i guess i dont have any other option. Ive read the thread, but id really just like some clarification as to exactly which bios version to flash to, and after testing the new ballistix stick, what RAM to buy for one last shot at a stable setup. GEIL value, i presume. If this doesn't work i'll chuck the board and buy an abit...
