I am using the NF4 SLI-DR with the 602-3 BIOS, running Corsair at stock voltage and timings also running the ram @ 1T.

No probs what so ever, maybe i am just lucky.

Those having trouble with the Ballistix 2 gig kit's, use BIOS 704-2bta and set the timings to 3-3-3-8, not 3-4-4-8. Most problems seem to be sorted with that. I'm at 241x12, 3-3-3-8, 1t 2.8v. Sorry if it's been posted earlier.

What voltage are you using on the cpu for that 241x12? I have the same set up with some OCZ Platinum Rev2 struggling to get a decent overlcok from it, been trying for weeks just flashed to the 704-2BT BIOS but I am not getting much better only 11x255 prime stable @ 1.375 +113% I haven't tried higher voltage as I im frightened of buggering it up, I killed my old FX55 about a month back with about 1.6v.
I'm on water thermochill 120.3 with a Swiftec Storm G4 so my temps are great like 24-26c idle 38-39 100% load.
Cheers

Dude, I've been using OCZ rev2 Plat for a while and unless it is an issue with my CPU (A64 4000+ San Diego) was wondering if i've just not been having the right mem timings.

What is your setup for your memory on the DFI if you don't mind sharing?

Cheers

Here goes although these might not be the best but they are as best as I can find with mine.

TCL: 2.5
TRCD:3
TRAS:6
TRP:3
TRC:9
TRFC:12
TRRD:3
TWR:2
TWRT:2
TRWT:2
TREF:1560
TWCL:1 (any higher than 1 and it locks the ram up then have to clear CMOS)
BANK INT: ENABLE
SKEW CONTROL: Doesn't seem to make much difference.
DRIVE STRENGTH: Has to be weak 3 or 4 other settings crash
DATA STRENGTH: 2
MAX ASYNC: 8
READ PREAMBLE:5
IDLE COUNTER:128 - 256
R/W BYPASS:16X
32 BIT GRAN: DISABLE.

These are stable at 240- 270 fsb
I find the dynamic counter and the bank int, to not seem to do anything maybe they are for higher clocks.
The tref values are totally different for this 704-2 BT BIOS the most stable I find is 1560 whereas with all the other BIOS' it has been either 3072 or 1168.

Hello, Just built my new system 3700sd on a DFI NF4 ultra-d

and im a bit concerned about chipset temps. the Nividia monitor software is reporting 50 deg, when my cpu is only 30 and gfx 45....

I have reasonably good air flow through this case 120mm suck 120mm blow with an artic 64 freezer in the middle in a antec p160 case.

the 7800GTX card sits right ontop of the chipset fan. Any tips to cool this sucker down using air only? I have a spare 80mm fan sitting here just wondering how i could best use it

also could anyone recomend a good A64 overclocking guide and new bios links for this board.

Hi,

Apologies for a likely repeated question but searching through 78 pages is just madness. There is so much information to process so i thought id ask myself.

I recently bought this board with the following...

Leadtek GeForce 7800 GTX Extreme Edition 256MB GDDR3 VIVO TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-070-LT)
OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC3200 Dual Channel Platinum Series EL-DDR CAS2 (MY-057-OC)
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4400+ (Socket 939) - Retail (ADA4400CDBOX) (CP-127-AM)
Hiper HPU-4K580-MK Type R 580W Modular ATX2.2 PSU - Black UV (CA-005-HP)

Can anyone recommend me some Ram/cpu/whatever settings to set for overclocking?

Im not at all any good with ram clocking, so if anyone has the same setup as me and can give me settings to base from that would be ideal.

Thanks all.
D.

finally built my DFI sys - SLI-DR, 7800GT, X2 4400+ with 2gig geil value. as DFI recommends i build with basics first, so just 1 stick of ram in outside orange slot.

I'm memtesting at the mo but i keep on getting errors. Could i just need to give the RAM more volate? if so how - the bios is a little odd, or could the RAM just be bad?

ok update:

tried in the outside yellow slot and it wouldnt even boot. back in the orange slot and i get the same errors again.
tried the other stick instead though and thats fine. not a single fault (in the orange slot). to me this just looks like 1 bad stick.

i;ve contacted OCUK so lets see what they say. hopefully there's a way to get around this, dont want to have to wait for a replacement if poss.

I sometimes have the same issue but only after changing bios settings when testing different o/c's. Usually it will go through 2 boot cycles & show the "start windows normally" screen - I click enter & all ok unless I have raised the cpu speed and it needs a little more voltage.
