Concorde- have you tried fiddling around with Tref? I found that my LE4400 0440s + DFI NF4 + San Diego wouldn't run > 275 or so with Tref set on 3120 (the auto value). Whereas Tref 1168 (same bandwidth as 3120) let it get to 305.

Okay, cheers will try now!

OMFG its working, 286x9 is working!!!!

Concorde

Edit: Well, better, past 3 loops this time :(

Edit 2: 2.5-4-4-7 looks like its passing :O, gonna try for 300, 2.5-4-3-7

What are your other settings, particularly Dram Drive strength and Dram Data Drive strength?
:)

kk will try it, currently memtesting @ 290 @ 2.5-4-3-7.

OMG! I can't believe you finally relented and set the Trcd to 4 after I told you like a week ago :D

Anyway, you should be able to find that you can get upto 300Mhz *fairly* easily now without having to change any of those 4 basic timings. You may still have to tweak some of the many other smaller settings but just concentrate on the 290 for now :)

Is the 10x multi still not working for you?

Isn't dram drive strength low at 3 ? got mine [ ocz 3200 plat ] at 5.
Also found at Bleeding edge forums my Tref was best at 4708.

I think its his Data Drive Strength which is 3 and Dram Drive Strength of 7. Trouble with Tref is that it can vary for different folks even if they have the same CPU, Ram and motherboard :(

Just got a DFI SLI-D, 4000+ san diego, 600W Enermax and 1gb XMS4400. After finding that SLI doesn't work with my Apple 23" I decided to try and make some good of the situation. The system is Vapo LS cooled and I seem to be coming out with very low memory scores in sandra.

2.5/4/8/4 set in bios and fixed at 200 1:01, HT set to 4x and 250fsb with 2.9v vdim, 1.45vcore and 1.5 chipset, think I tried 1.3 LT too. CPU scores seem good at 3ghz, 13800+/4720/6100 in the arithmetic, over 30k in the MM test but memory scores are coming in around 3.6k... That seems a little low, is there something I'm missing?

Was a mistake on my part regarding the speed, must have pressed it one too many times so it was reading 100 heh. At 250fsb (500) each stick is fine on its own, the second I place the 2nd stick into DIMM 4 i get a tonne of errors in memtest regardless of whether its 400 or overclocked, all the errors come on test 8. Faulty RAM or something else?

Are you memory scores ok now?

Are you putting the RAM in the orange slots?

Orange slots is recommended by DFI, and confirmed by many users including myself, to be the best for TCCD based RAM :)

Wont even enter windows in the yellow slots, using the orange slots. Tried all voltages, as soon as I put a stick in the lowest orange slot I get errors in memtest 8 and am unable to boot windows at overclocked speeds.

Couldn't tell you about memory scores since I cannot boot into windows with both sticks at any overclocked speed...

Edit - at stock speeds memory is around 6.5k so yes that's fine, just that they memtest error in test 8 regardless of speed when using both sticks. Going to try a set of 3700 I have lying around.

Ok , tried it with a set of XMS4000 I've had running at 250 for over a year now, wont work, get memtest errors and am unable to boot into windows at any speed. This seems like a CPU/Mobo problem after all.

No mention of the BIOS version your running.
You will need BIOS 414-3 if you have'nt got it already
