Anyone know of a way to either make the idsoftware / Bethesda logos run smoother at the start, or stop them altogether?
Removing boot_sequence.bik removed the videos (albeit with a lengthy wait), but the game ran terribly. Trying '-novid' in launch options did nothing. Alt+F4 seems ok, though again a lengthy pause before you get to the main menu.
Not had a single problem with the game so far. Runs ridiculously smooth. The only thing I had to tweak was to turn off the mouse smoothing. I don't think the smoothing is completely gone yet, but it's considerably better now. This is on a 60hz IPS with vsync enabled. I can only imagine how fluid it would run on a 144hz gsync monitor!
Just encountered the Cyberdemon, such an epic fight. Most games would probably have called it a day at this point. So glad they made the main campaign a fair bit long.
If its like the beta the only thing you can do is keep restarting until they run smooth - took me 10 attempts with the beta - after that it was fine - never goes away if you use the command line options to skip intro videos.
The start logos are a known issue in beta - which seems to have a hangonver in the final release. Mine just glitched slightly once, but it makes me wonder 1) Why cant they code an simple as hell FMV to play? 2) if its not an FMV, why not just render it in 3d? (and vice versa)
It just bananas that a AAA game would have an issue loading its company logo. Make me wonder wtf they are up to with that.
hi guys, sorry if this has been asked a million times but where is the best place to get this from at the moment?
Ta
I think cdkeys has it for £27.99 at the mo, though I'm not sure where the lowest price is. I know cdkeys is cheaper than kinguin / simply games at present.

Thanks for that, I expect mine is set to auto in the bios.

just me or are the graphics not very special and the game runs poorly considering how it looks?
