*** Official Dota 2 Thread ***

Played 5 ranked games with my friend, lost all 5. Only 2 of us in the party and we're up against people with double the amount of wins that we have. Most games very one sided. I really hope the mm gets better once its finished 'calibrating'. Anyone else finding ranked mm to be worse than normal?
 
wins don't mean much. it just means you have similar mmr. I have 400 wins and get matched with people that have 1000 all the time.
 
Just reached lvl 13 so played some ranked.
First 2 matches I get put with idiots, all of them around 200-250 hours played. In those games I lose both but get high kda and higher gpm/xpm than all of my team and most of other team.
Next 3 matches I get put with people 600+ hours and get 3 wins in a row, all solo queue. I'm only on 250 hours too.

So maybe the rank system works well.
 
The ranked system works fine so long as people are winning lol

Although going 24-0 as Timbersaw offlane in my second to last ranked game does make me wonder - felt like a total mismatch

I am fairly sure i can recruit into the ocuk guild, i get the option on my menu anyway.

Given up on solo queue after 2 games. Both times a captain takes no notice of champs people ask for and just picks 5 heroes (not even good picks) that he wants and then proceeds to be awful too.

Will stick to queuing with at least one mate to ensure i have a person i can rely on lol.

Anyone can join the OcUK guild, whether people play with new players and not shout at you is another question :p

Ah okay, is it obvious how to join? Don't recall seeing an option to search for guilds or anything... Or is it a group outside of the game itself?

I'm more than happy to be shouted at if it's in the spirit of helping me to learn how to play properly - it just annoys me when I specifically ask the team for what they want me to do and get no response, but then get flamed to bits when the decision I made in the end turned out not to be right!

Just had another win at last, but after 3 games where members of my own team abandoned and didn't work together it was just the reverse of that - their team dropped down to 2 after a little bit and we destroyed them... Not a whole lot of fun but I at least got to practice a little more
 
I think I can invite people to the guild so if you add me then I'll just invite you to the guild and you should be able to accept next time you launch dota.
 
Won 5 lost 3 of my initial ranked games. Here goes the 9th. Won 2 as treant protector I think he's so underrated and an awesome support, keeps all your towers up and helps keep your team mates in lane.
