*** Official Dota 2 Thread ***

Eurgh, what a dreadful night of dota, two games in a row going heavily up on kills early on, only for the carries to completely bottle it/no one to push at all and end up losing both games. Definitely the most frustrating position to lose from as a support.

Hate it when the entire team is reluctant to knock over a t1 tower.....get the ****** down!

EDIT: which brings me to a question, why, if you've just killed 3 people in one lane, would you not instantly knock the tier 1 tower down while your whole team is there? 1 person leave by all means to defend the other lanes, but i can't understand this idea of 4 people wandering off and not bothering with the tower while the chance is there!? FREE GOLD DAMNIT!

Just keep playing well yourself and on average you will win more than lose and your mmr will improve so stuff like that happens a bit less. **** games, and runs of **** games, happen to all of us.

Oh man mrbios I see this all the time, win a great team fight and the whole team leaves me to solo the tower while they go farm jungle or go shopping at secret shop lol, wtf is wrong with people?

It's one of the singularly most frustrating parts of dots for me. I get genuinely excited when I get a team that decide to jump from tower to tower knocking the tier ones down in quick succession. Map control and gold, it's like supports wet dream. :p

The worst part of solo queuing dota is when you know you're in a team that has to win mid game and your team is dominating on kills but not pushing objectives. It's so frustrating because the rest of the team is going "oh look at our kills" and you know if you don't push then that carry is going to win it for them :(

It doesn't always work but I find if I spam instructions at people in chat they tend to follow them. Most players arent wilfully garbage they just don't know what to do and want someone to lead them and tell then what to do in fights.

Happens so often and it's so annoying!

If anyone fancies teaming up tonight with me supporting as lion (and doesn't mind some mistakes) let me know

Steam: Musty Pie

Again like I said I am still learning, and tonight I shall try tackle wards to help assist.

OK cool just let me know. Once I have dinner out of the way I'm going to play some matches. Seeing as I am out tomorrow I might as well veg out again tonight!

I love it when he and SynderN cast Silencer games.
It's like normals casting.
*Silencer pops ult*
All casting stops.

Or more often SynderN goes silent and Sunsfan continues casting oblivious to it until it's too late :p

Here's an interesting thing for you guys. Load up your dotabuff, go back to the very start and lets see some pics of your terrible item builds for your first games!

There's mine. My thinking was basically 'Linkens blocks a spell, that's amazing' and 'Ags makes my spell even better, of course I should get it!'

So fess up, lets see some of yours!

My first full page of games, definitely blame my cousin who thought he was a HoN big shot for some of the item choices:

Blink dagger on my first CM game when I had no idea what blink really does and just lol at all the healing salves.

Cheers for the games No1newts!

Its clear I still have a lot to learn but getting there slowly.

See you on again soon for a game,.

Anytime mate. There are better people than me who could teach you but they probably won't so I'll help how I can :) Was a good start though, I'll sit and spectate a game for you one evening to help a little more, was too busy organising the team by the end and didn't coach much :p have some ward/support practice a bit more too. Support is horribly unappreciated but can win games if played well.

To be fair we would have won if that Rauder wasn't complete guff (strolling off to SS when a tower is going down he could have prevented)

Realised afterward I should really have stacked a load of dust, complete pain when the three carries all take it turns shadowblading on me :p:D

Yeah warding is something I really need to look into more. I read a good guide at work on my lunch break which gave me a good idea of how to start.

Will probably play a bit more as Lion then might dabble with another hero to see how I get on.

Give me a pm tomorrow on steam and I will play a game or two. Should be on from 6pm

Musty Pie I watched 10-15 mins of that with No1newts.

Not sure if these were recommended to you but in that game I wouldn't have gone Dagon, bit of a wasted item and you only got it to level 1. Aggs would have been better if you were going greedy seeing as you guys were constantly team fighting.

Building a Pipe of Insight would have been good also since they had a Zeus with aggs/refresher

3 of the enemy had shadow blade but no-one in your team was buying sentrys or dust. You could have helped with both and your team mates all should have had dust also.
