Does anyone else, mostly the newer people, ever do badly (win or lose the game) and just think to yourself "Why do I bother? Am I actually getting any better or am I gonna suck this much all the time?"

And I'm talking about playing well, not just if you win or lose or what you KDA is. You know that feeling you get where you just feel that you've done played ok or not.

If I win and I've played ok, great.
If we lose and I've played ok, then a bit disappointing but these things happen.
If we lose and I play badly, then I can't help but wonder how much I was to blame and wondering if I should stop playing.
If we win and I play badly, then it's even worse as I don't have much of an excuse!

In the games where you play badly, think about what you did wrong and what you could have done differently. The top MMR players watch their replays to spot their mistakes and learn from them.

Good video about focusing on your own improvement.

I keep getting put in 4 stacks and it's starting to annoy me. It doesn't help that it's never a English speaking group either.

Can't on this smurf. I just finished another game with a 4 stack and they picked Tiny, Kunka (mid), Pudge and Chaos knight. I don't get why you would stack up and not have roles for each other. Courier came out at 30 minutes.

Totally won that game....

but to be honest I gave up hope and just cba with that game.

Yea I think you've lost your rights at complaining by smurfing like that, whether you know it or not, players like you doing that put off so many new players to the game

New guy coming to play this getting stomped by another "noob" :/

I get like this sometimes, i always play alone fairly late at night (would like to try and join some of you guys one night) and it can be soul destroying.
But then i get a couple of good games and it makes it all worth it, i had a decent night last night with ES and Centaur Warrunner so i'm feeling good today :D

The thing to remember is that it's only a game... ironic hearing that from me. But really, just play to enjoy it. If you don't enjoy it stop playing.

I get irritated with some players in this blinking game.

Played Brood and was solo pushing lanes, for some reason my team wanted to report me for solo pushing and trying to win  the team we were playing against were good and were sentry warding the life out of me so was having a nightmare, I was still level k/d and pushing lanes but was slow going.

The other team must have realised I was the only non window licking member of my team so whenever I was in lane 4 of them descended on me an harassed me out. At one point for 5 ******* minutes I was chased and harassed round the lane by 4 people what did my team do (who were a 4 stack btw) they hid in base and jungled a little

They were then calling me a noob until I not so politely pointed out (with the assistance of the radiant players :p) why can't 4 people push a lane hen they are against either creeps or 1 hero? Why hide in base? Were they expecting the towers to simply self combust for them if they waited long enough?!

******* retards :mad::p

If you play Brood, expect to get 4 man ganked all the time.

I love Brood but this always happens to me too, if you are unchecked you just do too much damage, so they just gank you forever.

It sucks :(

I didn't particularly mind the ganking, was more organised than I expected I must admit but my main frustration was the baffling response of my team of refusing to push or take any form of advantage of me dragging off 3 or 4 people. If I can't push at least take advantage of the blinking opening I'm creating! :p

Brood is a PITA, I tend not to play her but hand done so in ages so gave it a go. The hero relie on either people not countering her well or a great farm as with a farm you can maul people down pretty fast.

Yeah, this is what gets me with smurf accounts and might well at times be responsible for me not enjoying games, doing badly and thinking I'm rubbish (or of course it may not be that, the other players could just be good).

That said, I've heard wagamama say that on his 6000+ MMR main it can take 40 minute to get a match.
I'm sure there are also some that do it purely so they get to play against newbies and make themselves look good (not saying this is Tobes reason for smurfing).

But again, that does seem to be the sort of community you get with MOBAs it seems.

I like brood, still don't think she will ever be viable in pro games in her current form.

Problem with playing her without a stack is lots of people have no idea how the hero works and that you can't really leave your lane, you're bound to your webs and the lane you are in. Obviously there are exceptions.

But yeah I often get hard countered when I pick brood, sucks but as Murray says you have to stop the brood or you lose.
