How do you guys feel when you've picked a support, in a public game with no parties involved, and the mid starts ordering you (ordering, not asking, no please involved) to give them two tangos? Do you give them the tangos or not?

I've got into a few arguments over this situation, it's not a great way to start a match, but i flat out refuse to kneel to peoples rudeness.

Just give tangos and tell him his wards and flying courier will come later than usual. Remember some of these players are not always fluent English speakers so it may come across as rude when they're not trying to be.
It's best to "kneel" (keep them happy) to the mid/carry in mobas since they will end up carrying you later in the game no matter how rubbish they are.
 
I'd give one tango yeah, it's minimal impact to you and is not worth arguing over. Helping out mid have an effective laning phase is worth it for the whole team.
 
Yea I rarely do it. Maybe if it's a hero like QoP or shadowfriend who can really benefit from a super early bottle but mostly that 125g is not going to make any difference.
 
I tend not too, I ask them to be polite about it and I hsppily will but (whilst I know it's probavly futile) manners cost nothing and I'm not letting someone be a ****** to me because you to tend to give in once and it will only get worse.

I'll still support and do my damnedest to win but on point of principle I wont.
 
Whats all this Dota 2 reborn stuff!? lol... I've downloaded it, havn't had chance to play yet though.

Is it just the same game but with a prettier look/feel?
 
In case people don't know, it seems the Dota 2 Reborn Beta defaults to 32-bit DX9 mode.

Reports are that you can force it to run in 64-bit DX11 mode, but it's a bit clunky...

Create a shortcut and add to your start menu or desktop.
Also, if you want to make it run with DX11, just add "-dx11" at the end of the shortcut's "target" area.

Seems to be very unstable for some people.

I havn't been able to play a full game yet because people drop out/disconnect every game and it becomes safe to leave.
 
Had two games as Sven going a combined 25/4/21, forgot how much I loved the hero, absolutely sick damage late game.

Getting no luck completing compendium challenge, whenever I go in a game and try to play a compendium hero I seem to get a guarantee bad team, as soon as I stop trying it flips :p
 
Just have to vent a little:

I utterly hate techies and the way that his mere presence in the game just makes it completely unfun to play.

Even if you win against him it doesn't feel fun, constantly playing minesweeper.

I totally acknowledge that there are ways to counter him and heroes that work well against him, but when you are in random draft with no illusion summoner heroes or similar to pick from...

Somebody is probably going to tell me i'm a massive noob and he is easy to beat, which is probably true. He still makes games frustrating as hell.

It's not much better when you land him on your team and he proceeds to be utterly terrible leaving you in a 4v5 situation...

anyway rant over, i'll grab my flameproof vest whilst i'm at it.
 
No you're 100% correct. Techies makes every game less fun for 9 of the players. He ruins dota and I wish he'd never been added. Makes supporting miserable and makes games last 20/30 mins longer whether you win or lose.
 
Anyone finding the game really unstable this last week?

Playing normal (not the new beta) and this week found it constantly lagging, loads of random d/c's and the amount of time I have been entering games only for someone to fail to connect has been huge. Anyone else?

Re Techies, loathe him though I loathe Pudge just as much so when I see someone take Pudge I tend to counter pick with Techies to make the ******* life miserable and stop him roam ganking all game. So much fun watching a Pudge stuck in lane and raging at me :p
