It is getting a bit silly. I only have English selected as a language as I don't understand anything else.. but I'm always in games with Russians spamming the voice chat or the team chat, I do ask nicely if they'll speak English but I end up just having to mute them.

Theres nothing in the rules to stop them though.. and I guess they just don't care.

Little can be done either really... if you do some Russians don't like, or Brazilians (or whichever group of people annoy you on your server) you risk alienating a really big audience for the game. I'm somewhat sure the Russian speaking people make up a LARGE majority of the Dota 2 playing community. So Valve would be wise to not annoy them!

Not that it doesn't suck when somebody logs into your game, picks Pudge and says "mid or feed". Then proceeds to type in Cyrillic whilst swearing at you with the odd word in English.

Put a stop to a losing streak I was going through when playing public mode games because no-one I knew was on :)

I have found two groups of people willing to take me on when playing and not moaning to badly if there is any mistakes, Mortah/Arrakis from here and a bunch of guys I used to play CS 1.6 with and against.

The guys I played CS with have a good mix of experience and team work which completely changes how Dota is played. The group games I get with Mortah/Arrakis are also fun because they are more chilled out so there is no crying over mumble if things don't go our way. Plus their friend Smokey has loads of experience and doesn't mind helping new players.

Really enjoying playing Tide as support, it's so refreshing being able to initiate team fights. Since I often play squishy support heroes my biggest mistake is leading a charge because our carry is playing far to passive/scared < this is mostly on public but I also fall into the trap of being to far forward in most games.

So yea blinking in with tide and smashing 4-5 enemy players with his ultimate is just to damn good.

What's everyone's opinion of Lifestealer? He seems far to over powered if any competent player gets farm it's basically GG. 6 Seconds of magic immunity is just absolutely huge.

Also All pick mode, it's so pathetic seeing enemy players waiting until the creeps have started just so they can counter pick. In my opinion they should add an extra 15 seconds to choose a hero and if you haven't chosen when the time runs out then you get a random hero. This would make it much more fair.

Puck is good against Pudge, if you get hooked you're doing it wrong :)

I find a strong ranged hero like QOP to be a good way to shut pudge down. You can zone him off the creeps.

Also, when I play pudge I generally struggle against a good invoker but that might say more about my skills than the matchup i dunno ;p

My main way of avoiding all the trolls is avoiding all pick. If you're playing the other modes it means you can't just sit on your favourite hero, constantly picking and spamming them. The other options all offer up different ways to play while keeping it just as interesting. Of course, this isn't fool proof, but its the best answer I have!

Puck everytime to counter Pudge :D.

and if you get used to him, you can escape most situations with Orbing out while phase shifting.

out of 10 last games 8 losses, all losses because of 1-3 people who just kept dying early game hence essentially losing the game in the first 10min of the game, good times matchmaking good times >_>
