*** Official Dota 2 Thread ***

I've just started playing this within the last week or so, really enjoying it. I've put about 45 hours into it, not played a game this much in a long time!

So at the moment i'm online most evenings, would be good to have a few people to play with (who don't mind a noob!), so add me too. I'm Greenja on steam aswell :)
 
I'll add you both tonight/tomorrow.

We can use our mumble server (not sure how good the ingame voicecomm is) if you want and get some team games up and running.

Trying out as many heroes as I can, it's great how different some of them play.
 
There is an ocuk guild.

Me, Bung, Clearly, Jive Turkey(Hedge on here I think?), NigelWDS, Paj, tom113, tune can all give you an invite, just add me if you ain't got any of the others and I'll get you in in

EDIT: If you're just starting, try playing with Murray/Anuraj from here, they are both relatively new and learning so might be good to join with them, they play with a few others also
 
Anyone do any DOTA 2 Trading?

I've got it posted on a few trade sites but having no idea of the price is making me weary of getting mugged off lol.
Been offered 30 keys as highest bid so far.
 
Seems somewhere north of 20 keys is possible.

Turbo edit - what type of keys? This is more important to you rather than us but make sure you don't end up with rubbish :)

Good investment for some people, not so much that one, I've got two couriers that have increased by ~500% and 250% since I got them. (To be fair I'm a sad **** and bought them because I liked them but whatever :D)

Grats on getting 45 keys, didn't think it'd be worth that much :D
 
If anyone really wants any help or to give dota a shot, add me or hedge. Like he has already mentioned, we are on every night almost and have a great little community going.

We have an active mumble server which can help when things get a bit tricky on the communications side!


Its an excellent game with a bit of patience and practice. :p

I think it's so many because the keys are normal as opposed to the special ones (which for example - always give at minimum a rare) but good job :D Can't stop playing doom at the moment vs annoying sods like weaver/am/ss etc... all I can see when I cast my ult is this: http://imgur.com/a/zLQNK#vIyIIOD
 
Started playing this last night, went through the first few parts of the tutorial and Purdy gave me a nice starting points with various guides to follow (thank you) so hopefully I'll be ready to get online in a few days after I have a better understanding of the game and feel comfortable. Guys is there a better way of moving around other than clicking with mouse2? The reason I ask is because when playing the ranged character tutorial I found myself clicking off the enemy slightly and starting to run toward them so I got myself into trouble a bit.

Unfortunately not, clicking is the only method of movement, you could probably switch left+right click if it mattered to you but in time you'll get used to it and see any other way would be a lot worse imo :p

Also guys think there are 10 days left to fill out the rest of your compendium, don't think the predictions do anything but will be fun to see the results :D
