**Official Duke Nukem Forever Thread**

Gotta be said, the multiplayer in this is DREADFUL. Easily the worst part of the game, and thats saying something. Lucky if you find a server with a ping which makes the game playable.

I'm enjoying it... And look forward to a properly produced sequel, hopefully before 2033? Hopefully the graphics in the sequel won't make the women kinda scary to look at! They look to clunky/poor to achieve what the developers were clearly going for!

Some bloke reviewing it on a youtube vid summed it up best, when he said it somehow manages to combine the worst elements of both old skool and modern shooters, and none of the positives.

oops....corrected.
In any event, if they can't "support" and fix it, then why should Steam be exempt from the Distance Selling Regs?
I see no reason why a refund is out of the question, if a customer is not satisfied with their purchase.....afterall, if it won't play then its broken in my book.
:p

Maybe "some bloke" was out for some attention... And seemingly got it!

:p

But it's not broken, plenty of people are using it without issue.

Steam shouldn't be footing the refund because of your incompatible machine. ;)

Steam CD-keys are like tattoo's, once you get it, that's it, you're stuck with it.
If you turn around after a day and decide you don't like it, or can't have it for whatever reason, the tattooist won't give you a refund, because it's bound to you.

Steam buys CD-keys, yours is already now used, regardless of whether you can or can't play it, it's been used, and they can't re-use it or get a refund from the publisher.

The chances of getting a steam refund is 0, unfortunately.

I'm finding it pretty easy, to the point where it's boring. I don't really care about graphics so I'm not going to comment on them, they're fine from my point of view. Story-line seems a bit too straight-forward, not being able to carry more than two guns is annoying. Levels are too linear, I seem to know the way through them and I haven't played the game before, I don't even need to look to see where I need to go most of the time I just end up looking where I need to go automatically for some reason.

As one of my friends said - not as many topless women as I was expecting either. I suppose in one way that's good with my family constantly walking in and out of the room. I remember what it was like trying to explain the point of Postal 2 to them :p

Yep, thats him, had to laugh at the reason why he hasnt played the SP of Black Ops too, the multiplayer !! Because lets face it, the MP in BO is flawless :)

Some of of his vids are good, others are incredibly boring where he runs in circles repeating the same crap over and over and over. You just have to look at his "initial impressions" vid where all he did was whine about wanting to shoot things for roughly the entire 45 mins.

I'm enjoying it, though to be honest I feel like they should have released back in 2000 and then had a Duke game every 2 years after that.

Got to love the old movie quotes though, was awesome to hear "I'm The Duke, A-Number-1" :D.
