*** Official Elder Scrolls MMO Thread ***

Apologies for not going back through the thread for this question. Any guilds up and running yet on here? And are there specific race/location requirements?

Thanks.

On a side note really struggling to find a character that fits me just now. Can see me having many many characters by the end of this week :)

The older gamers have a guild which a fare few from here have joined.

I'm really, really enjoying it.

Not particularly sure I'm going to stick with sorcerer as I found it a little underwhelming but apart from that I've loved it. Spent most my time off the beaten track exploring, found a few named mobs to kill, tracked down some skyshards and I haven't even bothered with quests or even thought about treasure maps. Great game and a challenge too, no head mashing off a keyboard or you get murdered pretty damn fast.

On a side note are the weapon skills the same across all classes?

Thinking of going Nightblade instead of my sorcerer but I'll see. No playtime until Tuesday now so plenty of time to rethink things twenty times :p

I'm sticking with my high elf nightblade staff caster until I've played some PvP with him to see what I think. Then I'll make a sorcerer and level that up so I can do some PvP then decide which 'feels' better/more fun to me.

Server stability wise, true.
But number of bugs I encountered is still to big.
The storyline quest mentioned sbove ( priestess). The constant dismounting. Small but annoying little things.
Still in overall I'd give the game 85% score, just for the launch. It will probably rise over time.

There certainly is a number of bugs, and I was dropped from the server a couple of times as well, other than that not bad.

Just keep relogging and it will work, not ideal but a temporary solution. Think I had to relog 4/5 times.

Smoothest MMO launch I've ever experienced.

Totaly agree best launch ive ever been in there are some bugs the most annoying I find it the UI crash pop up window always happens mid fight grrrr :)

Yeah i'll do that at some point today.

Kinda happy to see this get a positive reception here, been quite a big fan for a while (wasn't in the PTS but made it to all the stress test weekends) and it wasn't looking to be going down too well around here.

On the 3 day head start (£20 for cosmetics didn't appeal) but I can wait till tomorrow. hearing good things about servers etc.

Would say for those looking to do well - early on, build up your characters defences rather than killing power. The games not about having masses of damage at the expense of other stats, you have to be able to look after yourself throughout. It's a VERY loose "trinity" setup but tanks need to be able to damage, dps have to be able to tank and keep themselves alive, healers need to be able to help kill stuff.

Your character is NOT just 1 bar with armour + skills, you should be building for a particular setup with both bars supporting it, have a complete swap of stuff for both bars (even different armour) for another scenario.

Most classes can cover most roles (a mage, templar or nightblade in heavy are all viable tanks for example, a little tight as you get into veteran levels). Your class only gives you 3 unique skill tree's everything else is accessible.

Definitely pick up a self heal from your class tree's though as early as possible (I think there's a couple in other places like undaunted maybe to, see how it goes). It will make life MUCH better. Grab some form of CC too (e.g for dragonknight there's a morph to the 2nd skill you get in the fire tree that heals at the end of a dot and an amazing ranged knockdown in earth).

I will stick with my high elf Templar for the time being just need to mine some more ore and build lots of armour.

Nothing like the anticipation of getting home and playing a game you've had all day to think about:D
