Its perfectly fine to use. Been using it since release along with the guild I'm in.
My mind is blown!! There's so much choice with weapons / skills it's crazy. Not had much time this weekend unfortunately, but still struggling to pick the route with how I want to take my DK down. I'd like to PvP and also be viable for Pve, just stuck on weapons to chose. Any advice? I'm just rocking the sword and shield at the moment.
I have a 2H DK, lvl 47 at the moment, full medium armor for crit rating with hp enchants and most skillpoints into magicka. Main magic tree I use is Ardent Flame. I use destruction flame staff as my offhand, but I rarely use it in combat. Instead I packed the offhand action bar with self buffs/group buffs and it helps a lot.
As for weapon choice, I use 2H mace with armor penetration enchant and spell/weapon crit rate bonus - which helps a lot, I have 10% spell crit rate and 31% weapon crit rate.
I enjoy playing DK very much. I played sorc in beta, but didn't really like it much.
This build I have looks more like battle mage than warrior, because I use a lot of spells, but the ones I use are a 'must have' for DK.
In overall, I enjoy the game - unless I am stuck on bugged storyline quest.

I've done several quests where I've had to kill werewolves, but I've not seen any players who were one.
What level range? I am still in the teens myself.
It totally depends what roles you want. I play pure tank dk, so heavy armour and 1h+shield with pierce, talons, green dragon and absorb magica as core skills. I use bow as second which works fine in dungeons and combos ok for dps when solo. Even works well in pvp by swapping in a couple more damage skills
Of course I've played with 2h Melee dps and pyromancers which work well in groups but not seen a dk healer yet!
I'm a 1h + shield tank and I can't wait for bash to be nerfed. As it stands, I can kill anything far easier by spamming bash than any other method. I don't use it as it seems very much like something that wasn't designed like that so I am just treating it as a bug.
Tried pvp yesterday and didnt like it much...Only a lvl 10 and tbh I didnt feel ready to fight everyone else lol.
Also, I dont think I will both going back until I have a horse! I spent most of my time running to battles which by the time I got there they were over...then having to run back to a Keep which was linked up on the fast travel network, to get to the next fight, to get there and it was over again lol

I think if anything a horse is a must have for PvP
Still it's good fun even at low level because you get boosted to 50-ish. Just need to remember is very tactical, take it slow and steady!
