*** Official Elder Scrolls MMO Thread ***

I've never seen so many gold sellers spamming in an MMo, they should rename this Elder Spam Online !!

Aion was worse on release, you literally couldn't read general chat for all the gold spam. Took them ages to stamp it out too, be interesting to see how long it takes Zenimax to get it under control.

It doesn't help that you need thousands and thousands to bring your bag space up beyond the annoyingly restricted level, and that mounts are both required for PvP and prohibitively expensive at level 10.

If you were lucky enough to get into the servers to see the spam on Aion's release !! once in everyone just set up a shop so they wouldn't get logged out .. good times...

I wonder why they made it so hard to get a horse by the time your level 10 ? ahh Cash Shop !!! £10 ;)

Yup, reason the horse is so expensive is all about the cash shop. Think people would be better up upgrading to Imperial and getting a free horse (well 1 gold) on each toon.

and seen far far worse gold selling spams

Yeah me to.

This game unbelievable slow loading screens will be the reason I stop playing, never played a game that hangs so long on a loading screen.

Were never that bad for me....until i went back to the first city you start off in and went into a mine by the river, coming out of the mine the loading screen was on for a good few minutes i thought the game had froze or aomething

I started my fifth character last night :)

Med armour 2-hander sorc. I think that's what I'm finally settling on. Went through a dual wield dragonknight, dual wield sorc, bow nightblade and s/s templar so far :p

Have you tried a Dragon Knight Fire mage.... ZOMG!!! So so so much fun. I'm taking out groups of 3 - 4 while they're 2 levels above me.

Ok so i kinda fixed the Nightblade class.

The problem is the Bow, the sustained DPS from the bow is incredibly low, so you should hardly use it unless solo questing on less then 2 mobs.

The key shockingly is to go DW, the single target dps and aoe dps is pretty competitive, its just a shame the bow isn't :(

Took me a good couple of days to fix the problem, respec'd about 10 times and leveled up multiple different weapons too.

Just wasted an hour wandering round Auridon, beautiful zone. I'll never level this game, still only level 8 and just get caught up in the world all the time :p

Really enjoying my sorcerer again though in my new pimped out level 8 armour :p

So does anyone have a good levelling spec for Templar? I'm having mixed emotions over the class as don't seem to be able to find my groove. Currently level 20, rocking with 5/2 light/heavy armour and a 2 handed maul. Critical rush, solar barrage, reflective light, biting jabs and uppercut, breath of life or reverse slash in 5 th slot + Empowering sweep ultimate.

For the most part it does fine, but there are times when I feel I'm just not being as efficient as I could be.

Try this maybe?

The mega-low draw distances in this game are really bumming me out, it's like playing a game from 10 years ago. I'd happily turn down settings if only I could see out into the distance and play the world. It might sound silly but I can really see it hindering my long term enjoyment of the game, I like to feel like I'm running around in a world, but I can't ever see it with this blue haze all around me.

Lol I have that trouble, there are so many places which are Desktop Background screenshot material :)

I wasn't impressed either when I first 'maxed' it but do you know what? It doesn't bother me. I quite like the mystery of it - it works well with the art direction & for that reason I think they get away with it.

We’ll be pushing a new patch during our regularly scheduled maintenance time tomorrow. The full patch notes will be available during the maintenance period, but we wanted to share the highlights with you now since they were a direct result of your feedback:

We have fixed issues with several quests that were blocking main quest progression. Those include Crossing the Chasm, Castle of the Worm, and The Army of Meridia.
We have fixed the issue with Liberation of Northpoint. The quest is now completable.
We have fixed several issues with Banished Cells that were making it uncompletable.
We have made many other quest fixes.
We have implemented many new things to thwart gold farmers, spammers, and botters.

In-Progress Updates
In addition to the fixes going live tomorrow, we want to give you a status update on some of the other hot issues we’re working on.

Missing Bank Slots, Stored Bank Items, and Skill Points – We're continuing to investigate the issue, and are working on a fix now. As soon as the fix is ready, we will push it out to the live megaservers. Please note: This may result in a second maintenance this week and when we do push the fix, it will not be retroactive. Know that we want to make this right for all impacted—we’re still exploring options to help those who have stored items/gold, and bank slots go missing.

Long Loading Times/Social Lag – Some people have been experiencing long loading times, guild chat lag, and other social systems lag, especially during peak times. We are aware of this and are actively investigating it. As soon as we have a fix, we will push it live.

Dungeon Treasure Chests – Based on feedback, we are changing treasure chests in instanced dungeons so that everyone gets a piece of loot regardless of who opens the chest. This change is currently being implemented and tested internally and will be released in a future patch as soon as it’s ready. Watch the patch notes for the news.

Public Dungeon & Delve Boss Monsters – Also based on feedback, we will be placing a timer on how often you can get loot from public dungeon and delve boss monsters. This timer is shared across all boss monsters in public dungeons and delves. This will not impact loot timers for quest-specific monsters or overworld group bosses. Watch the patch notes for news on when this change will go live.

Thank you for continuing to share your feedback and concerns with us. We’ll continue to read and listen, and update you on known issues and their status.

Some extremely encouraging fixes there. Really happy.

Hopefully that will sort out the Inner Sea Armature quest boss. It was ridiculous last night, a huge crowd of toons in starter rags standing around the spawn point waiting for your to take that last book for the mages guild intro quest.

I'm presuming he drops something worth the effort.

I predicted a disaster at the launch of this game after trying out the beta but it seems they somehow managed to implement enough fixes just in time.

That being said, going from bad to mediocre doesn't live up to the name of the franchise. Reviews are average, user opinions are average, there are no ground breaking features the game brought to the MMO genre. Considering the bugs, unbalanced PvP and the in game money grab (the expensive and mandatory mount comes with the Imperial Edition), I would say this is an overall disappointment, SWTOR style.

F2P in 6 months.
