So how’s this game going, now, and yes though I have chosen to play WS, I really surprisingly after the crap beta was enjoyed this game.

Had I a) known it would turn out good, would have got more of the guild involved as they were more interested in this than WS? (and the majority never joined for WS anyway)

But b) more importantly had they actually banned the cheats I would have stayed, but unfortunately they just paid lip service to the people who play a game for fun in a honest way,
As for the people who cheated their way to massive amount of cash, were left to carry on. (yes I know what they said but they did not ban cheats in any real numbers, it was a total whitewash job)

If it does which I now think will happen go free to play, I would like to put some more time in and at least max out one character.

I found the game play and the world at large really good, wPvP was meh, as it was just the zerg mentality.

They banned a whole lot of people for the cheats, as you put it, but, it was never a big issue, only players who didn't understand the game and trolls who made a big deal about it.

Why do I say that? because getting gold isn't a problem in the game and because there is no global economy people cheating there way to a ton of gold isn't really a problem. You become so self sufficient at level 50 that you can usually craft all you need and have more gold than you know what to do with.

Or are you talking about bots? And if you are, they have reduced a lot in the last month. They seem to be mostly gone.

If you stopped playing because of cheats, you won't be playing Wildstar for much longer either. They have their own share of bugs and bot problems. Especially if you like PVP.

IT doesn't matter, for me Wildstar and ESO appeal to two different type of people. They are getting compared because they are both MMO's. There is plenty of room for both.

Lol really so 100’s of people making stack loads of gold is not an issues, and unlike most I certainly understand what they did and the effect.

Yes I did stop because of the massive unchecked cheating, and while WS does have its problems i.e. bots (which ESO had 10 times the amount at every bloody boss), I could live with the bots and all the glitches/bugs it’s the cheating that they let go on unchecked.

They were were warned of this in beta and did nothing, then after their so called banning, I know and so does a shed load of others know the ones who cheated big time, they were still there openly bragging.

Now unlike some I have never bashed this game, just no point, but more to the point I'm realistic about it, just like any game I play, I can see the good and bad.

If WS gets to the point where there is rampant cheating and nothing done by the Devs, then sadly I will move on.

And you wrong about WS & ESO appealing to different people, I would hazard a guess that 70 to 80% of the people would like and play both, with only around 20 to 30% having a clear preference.

Well, you will be moving on so, because there is already rampant cheating going on in Wildstar.

And you obviously didn't read my post, having tons of gold affected nothing and the originators of the cheat were banned, what more do you want? Having tons of gold means very little in ESO because the only gold sinks are inventory and horses. The cheat had no effect on the economy at all, none.

And second having a ton of money in ESO doesn't make you a better player or know your class better. It does very little for you. I would count the multiboxing in wildstar to be a be a much bigger problem.

As I said, the big deal was made by trolls and people who didn't like the game.

So the fact that players could get full legendary gear, untold siege weapons etc has no effect on the game, er head sand much?

And besides a couple bots I have yet to see rampant cheating in WS.

I haven't actually seen a bot in a long time now, and I had almost stopped playing because of the damn things. Took them a while, but they do seem to have got there eventually.

A lot of the bots have taken to playing at unsociable hours and in... less busy areas (like the back end of no-where in coldharbour or a couple of areas that are like a minizone). There does seem to be a FEW less of them and I don't see the teleporting ones anymore.

Overall for ESO they're... in an Ok place, pretty strong (not a crashfest) launch and they're rolling out patches frequently to get the rough edges sorted. Content patches happening and efforts made to slowly balance the classes... there's not much wrong so far overall.

Maybe it's different on the EU servers, but there is rampant botting going on in WS in PvP on the US servers - one of the reasons I stopped playing as I was only really interested in the PvP aspect of WS with it's funky telegraphing system, which I really like. The night I quit I entered no less than 3 matches where 90% of either my team or the opposing one were bots.

The bots in ESO are/were annoying too, but boredom grinding through the V levels was what made me quit in the end.

I'm now MMO free, wheee! :D

The game had promise but I think they will keep the sub on the pc beta test until the console release then change it to free to play.

The game was clearly released way to early as the end game content is just not there for a lot of experienced mmo players.

The 1-50 leveling is great and I enjoyed veteran ranks too, but a lot of people didn't. Pvp is fun for a while but with the bonuses to pve, each faction has a campaign that they dominate in and people tend to move to that one.

I will be ending my sub since I haven't logged in a while as I have nothing to do, I was expecting craglorn to be better but they left some stupid farmable locations in game and once you have done the various content in craglorn ; there is little point repeating it as the gear you make by crafting is as good or better.

:p

This.

And to the bot point, there are bots in PvP on the EU servers, but never many not ever seen more than 2 in a match, but mostly just one, painful but not game breaking, well not yet and not for me.

June estimates of subscription numbers was around 770k.

If you haven't already, check out the new content being added from the QuakeCon.

Spellcrafting, justice system where you can be guards and bounty hunt people, 2 new zones, 1 new raid, new pvpve style area and more.

So i bought this pre release, played a couple of days of the headstart and kinda shelved it with a "play in a few months" mentality, well a few months have passed, i just activated my 30 days and im downloading the client etc again.

Will login tonight and pickup where i left off, also coincides with the fact i have a week off work :)

Found a great addon that shows me on the map the location of all the stuff I've missed, brilliant now I can actually focus on getting stuff completed rAther than running around like a headless chicken lol

I keep playing since 30/3. However my biggest issue was why I couldn't capture screenshots close to what I could see in the monitor.

All of them were grainy. The found out from someone on the forum, that is the key binding to PrintScreen!!!!

Because same key in windows makes a copy in the clipboard, the "post" effects from the Nvidia drivers are never captured.

So after fixing that yesterday and moving the key to Pause, I can show how truly beautiful the game is with everything maxed out on my system.
Looking forward to the 4K monitor in 4 weeks. :D

If you need help ingame please pm or email at @Fediuld :)
