*** Official Elder Scrolls MMO Thread ***

Agree the original story is great though it gets bit boring doing 7th time on my warden. :)

Though I found the final fight too easy especially since One Tamriel and level scalling.

Not played through whole Morrowind story line yet.

Yeah, I do agree with your comment and spoiler to be honest.

I think it could have lasted a while longer to be honest. It was a great fight but could have been easily dragged out!

My brother has a warden and while he's been enjoying it, he's gone back to his Templar lol

Bought this ages ago when it was around a tenner and only played for about an hour before some other shiny game caught my eye. Downloaded it today as it was only small amount of data :). Any tips on what character I should start etc?

I've literally only just started myself so I'm no expert but from what I've read you aren't particularlt restricted by your character choices so i cant imagine it will really matter!

Just pick a class that you think you will enjoy playing!

Generally Stamina based characters are harder to play/master (mainly due to lack of stamina based selfheal) and have lower dps. Though I find them more fun to play and Morrowid patch re-balanced it a bit.

Passive skills are probably even more important than the active one so pick a race that goes with your play style.
If I was starting now I'd probably pick magicka templar. They have great dps and access to heals so you can quite easily switch between dps/ healing.
Overall from what I seen/read I'd say that magicka sorcerer is still the best dps out there. I've only just created one (lvl 5) to see it for myself. GF is away on saturday so might give it a go.

This guy has some great builds and guides so check them out https://alcasthq.com/ Think he updated all his builds on website to Morrowind now. While levelling don't worry too much about min/ maxing and play the way you enjoy. Bare in mind though that you can only have 10 active skills and 2 ultimates and up to lvl 15 only 5 skill and an ultimate.

It's quite a bit different to wow. The combat is more like Oblivion/Skyrim but in an MMO format. Crafting is a LOT better and actually very useful. Quests are largely boring but the main stories are ok. It's all fully voiced though.

But yea, I went from wow and wouldn't go back. ESO is getting better and better, wow is getting worse.

I've been running a heavy DPS build with a light and heavy skill but my champion points allow me to get stam back from heavy non-skill attacks...which is a god send and this can be topped up with a potion.

They also scale with level (as does everything since the "one Tamriel" update) so never become obsolete like old content does in wow.

This :)

I know some old hands complain about the "One Tamriel" but for me it is one of the most innovative elements of the game that raises it above so many other MMOs (along with the Minstrels dotted around singing fairly high quality renditions of the songs...... Red Diamond, Red Diamond, The heart and soul of man............. :o), it really helps to make gear refreshing key and Crafting important and relevant. When I cam back to the game I deleted most of my original toons but kept one Lvl50 respecced purely for crafting and research.

Is there any OCUK guild at all? Been playing this for about a week now upto level 25 ish I think. Enjoying it as a in and out type of game.

i did the exact same. i think i got to level 5 but wasn't really feeling it, but it sounds like a lot has changed so im installing now too!

a question for players, can i play with a controller via the TV? i assume it has full support as its also on the consoles? Controllers are the devil i know, but i like couch play lately

Added (I think) my username is Tempstar

Sorry for the late reply been manically busy the last week, yep saw you added. Others feel free to add me in game (see OP) if you need some help or just want to group up for some dungeons/pledges/Cyrodil.

My main is an AD Templar Tank and my alt is a low level AD Warden.

AD is Aldmeri Dominion (one of the three main factions) for those not familiar.

Sorry if this has been asked and answered but how do I start the original Tamriel quest line having bought the original and the Morrowind add-on together?

I've read about going to the main island for my race but I'm not sure which it is and how to get there?? (I've started as am Argonian Sorcerer)

Thanks...

*edit*

Never mind, I've managed to sort it!
