*** Official Elder Scrolls MMO Thread ***

For a game that is trying to sell itself on PvP having CD in and fully tested is quite a big issue. Unfortuantely the pvp is broken to **** anyway, want to win? Roll a nice Sorc you'll pwn all.

tried this game again to see if I could get into it but it's just completely soulless.

Entering into some dark and secret cave only to find hundreds of other avatars bouncing around kills everything that the Elder Scrolls is about.

What a wasted opportunity for a great game. It's a shame.

That's just made me cancel the download that has.

but, you might enjoy it.

I think It'd be better if each city was a main hub where you can chat to other players but once you enter a dungeon it cuts to either you, your group and PVP invasions.

I started a torrent download so I didn't connect to as many people as I did earlier, still had about 6 other people all darting around at any one time on my screen though, earlier it was about 20. When you don't even notice enemies because of the amount of players on the screen then you have a problem.

I'm quite willing to give it a go for at least a month. I've always found every elder scrolls game to be pretty boring at first, usually putting you in some dark, soulless cavern. This is no different.

I think mmo players are most guilty when it comes to expecting too much, too soon from games. You only have to look at the beta videos on YouTube to see the stunning scenery, large scale pvp and in depth crafting. Its definitely a grower.

Plus, hasn't the collision detection been added now, its just not implemented in this beta?

Shhh! Stop talking sense. You'll ruin the naysayers fun if you keep doing that.

What a fantastic game!! Completely underestimated the scale. The combat while not much has changed feels good. Not amazing, but good enough.

Graphics are amazing. Not childish crap in sight.

Quests are enjoyable and filled with depth. And not your usual fed ex crap. You actually see the impact of them too.

Definitely day one purchase.

Now excuse me, I need to get back to this game.

Well having played this for the last few hours I'm sorry Latex but you really need to take the blinkers off.

Questing is entirely dull, go fetch bucket of water or go click on NPC X, or go kill so many of Y monsters.

Graphics are average, it runs really well so lower PC's and consoles should be okay

My main gripe is still the awful combat, it's just disconnected and empty again like hitting air.

Now, saying all that, it is not a terrible game and I can see how it will appeal to Skyrim fans and maybe it does get better at higher levels but as it stands it's plain average IMO.

So I re-installed thinking I've been too harsh, after all I haven't played it in 6 odd months..nope. Uninstalled after 10 minutes, terrible MMO, even worse ES game.

Such a shame.

I have no blinkers on, I think the game is currently the best offering Mmo to be coming out at the moment.

Questing is thousands of times better then wildstar. No question.

The combat as discussed is fixed in patch 0.18, so you can't use that excuse anymore. Pvp I agree feels floaty, but they had to make a choice, massive pvp or smaller pvp with collision.

Graphics average?? You definitely Are trolling there.

Thing is you went into the game already hating it and came out hating it. And you never left starter island, so you probably got to level 6 ish based upon what you have said. So you have already judged a Mmo which takes weeks to play in a couple of hours.

Maybe you're right. I've never played an MMO before so ESO may be good compared to them. Though I wonder why people could waste their time with them if this is supposedly good compared to the rest.

I can't tell the difference between this and two betas ago (I didn't play the last one)

Maybe they're great compared to other MMOs, but on the grand scale of video game graphics they're nothing to write home about. My graphics settings are set to the highest on everything.

Well I've sank over 2000 hours in the last three Elder Scrolls games so I was looking forward to this. I've put a few hours in and don't wish to play any further. I don't have to eat a full meal to realise I don't like the taste of it, the same as I don't have to play two weeks worth of ESO to realise that it's boring.
I was expecting something else. I was expecting something resembling Skyrim but where you could see and chat to other players on the map. Instead I get what I can only describe as "Trackmania - Elder Scrolls"

Compared to other mmos it's not that great. Wow is better, gw2 And a few others. But you have to bare in mind that other games have been on the market for longer and have had time to add and fix things.

That's because it's the same version. As explained in previous posts, it's for testing the megaservers.

For an MMO they are very good. Mmos generally have lower quality graphics.

You went in expecting Skyrim and left disappointed. What did you expect? That's the problem with most of the people in this forum, they expected Skyrim and they never got it. It's a completely different game....

But hey, at least you tried it.

Latex holy Mary mother of god you praised gw2 (albeit in a backhand fashion) where do you live?! I think I need to get a doctor to you ASAP!!! ;):):D:p

For all of its failings, it was somewhat enjoyable. Just end game content as always lets mmos down.

And I know newts :D we will be best friends if this keeps going on.
