*** Official Elder Scrolls MMO Thread ***

Saw this post over on Bethsoft forums. It's a lot of text so I've spoilered it, but it may be useful to some peeps looking at beta for the first time this weekend. Obviously some of this stuff may be outdated if patches have changed things this weekend, but there is a lot of general handy info too.

Thanks for that, lots of useful info!

Received a beta code in my email, trying to redeem the code and it keeps saying that it's invalid.

Is it because my account status is beta access? So i don't need a code?

I had this trouble, and i received an email from them confirming i had beta access, maybe see if you get an email today...?

On another note i have 3 Keys to give away if anyone wants one send just say!

Probably yeah, did you get into the previous betas?

Also on your account page does it say: Beta Access top right of the picture?

I haven't read this thread at all, so apologies if I'm miles off...

I picked up 2 beta keys at a conference a couple of weeks ago and have no use for them. Drop me a trust message if you would like one and I'll send it over tonight.

Ahh ok, would have made more sense to offer them to people who didnt pre-order or order Imp edition etc, to show them what they are missing.

That could still be the case, but i haven't read anything to confirm either of our statements, just i remember last beta weekend people who had pre ordered already could get access to the imperial mount.

ah cool. i might actually try this beta weekend, i havent played for about 3 or so of them due to not wanting to spoil the game for release, might login this weekend though and try it out :)

Yep as pointed out, clever marketing, well done ZO, incidentally what the treasure map things we get with the pre-order? anyone able to explain them in a bit of detail?

Yeah you can also find them in game in some zones.

Its basically a map of a primitive drawing with an arrow pointing to a X, you then need to match the location on the map to the location in the game.

When you get there, there is a phased chest that only people with the map can see and you basically open it. Upon opening the chest it uses the map. If you destroy the map you can't see or open the chest.

These are what they look like:
