*** Official Fallout 4 - No Spoilers Allowed ***

... in fact the only part that really adds something is being able to mod weapons and armor which would have been much better if you had to find the upgrades rather than just being locked behind perks.

You can do that without any perks, finding same weapon with the mods, allows you to remove it and reattach to your weapon. No perks needed at all, I currently have 0 Science and upgrading my Gauss Rifle without any issue.

Apart from that, it's a shame you're not into it.

I'm currently level 44 and slowly doing the main mission before going off tangent to explore again. It's the exploration and hoarding side I enjoy about this game. Think Bethasoft improved the game enough with new stuff without overhauling an amazing setup they've introduced in Fallout 3 and NV. Pretty much most fans were expecting Fallout 3, but new area and story, and places to explore.

I have now found bowling pins. I now desire a Bowling Lane somewhere!

I'm about 50 hours in and I think i'm done now!

Enjoyed the story but i'm no longer getting the overwhelming urge to play anymore. Went on for an hour last night and just wandered around.

Great game though, I have witcher 3 coming today so hopefully i'll see why it beat fallout to game of the year.

I am in love with the game

I have stopped doing missions for a while and am now just playing a wasteleand scavenger servicing my settlements and constantly tweaking them

I am slowly swapping out all my base level turrets for heavy ones..so heavy lasers and rocket launchers, and now I have a better understanding end methodology for building I m refining all my settlements ( I have about 20 at the moment)

I think croup manor is my favourite its like a mini castle thanks to its natural raised position...and hangmans alley is a like a meat grinder for raiders

think I am level49 and over 100 hours played

I've got about 10 settlements I think and 30+ hours. I've been attacked probably 4 or 5 times. I've only reacted twice to help out though.

I'm mixing up my play doing side stuff/exploring/scavenging and doing a few missions too. Just got to Nick valentine and now Dogmeat is sending us on some wild goose chase. Not bored of it at all, in fact the opposite, the more I level (20) the more I am enjoying it.

I really struggle to decide on perks. I have an idea in my head and then when I level up I forget which one, then spot at least 3 that I want. Next time I level up I'm like ooh another perk.

I don't really know what I want either. I got to Idiot Savant in Luck and am levelling a lot faster now. I can carry quite a lot with Str levels and perks the rest I just select randomly.

Hey all I wonder if anyone can help me with the situation in the spoiler below:

I was wondering if anyone knew how the crashed Alien Spaceship is triggered? I am on level 16, got more than 24 hours in the game and still waiting for the event to happen. I have tried a few things I have read around the net.

I have completed the Vault 75 mission, went to Greentop nursery and then to Old Gullet Sinkhole as they say this triggers the event but no luck yet. I have gone to Oberon Station but I still don't see the ship. I even went to the cave but no luck yet.

I don't think E.T is going to visit anytime soon. Just wondering how other people managed to trigger it.

Thanks for any advice.

I got mine early on as I came out of Cambridge Police Station, I heard a WHOOOOSH! but I didn't follow up. You're suppose to pick up some weird radio signal that you can follow to. I didn't follow up but I knew that happened around level 14.

I have come to the same conclusion as many here. Level 45 and just finished the main quest. Ended up rushing through the last part just to get it finished. There is just not enough difference in this game compared to the previous two which has burnt me out. Too much of the same gets boring no matter how great it is.

Pretty much exactly how I felt about it, very similar level, time spent and everything.

Same for me too.

I checked my play time yesterday, 51 hours roughly, only level 32, only 3 quests or so into the main quest. The novelty has definitely worn off but I'm still looking forward to completing the main quest, and for the inevitable expansion packs :D

I have read all different kinds of when it happened for people in the game. I am still waiting and I am now at level 18 lol. I got the one Alien that can actually fly a ship without crashing lmao.

Just finished the main story. It was ok but predictable and became a bit long winded.

It's not as good as 3 for me. I found a lot of it very mundane and it lacked the charm of 3. Still a good game just not as good as it should have been.

8/10.

When you're looking through weapons/armor, is it comparing it to the current weapon you have equipped?

For example if I have a pistol equipped and look at a shotgun will it compare it to the pistol or the shotgun I have selected as my favourite.
