*** Official Fallout 4 - No Spoilers Allowed ***

I tried that a few times until she killed me and after 5 or 6 deaths I thought I would ask on here. I think the NPC calming when you holster your gun is simply if you meet with it drawn rather than having shot them. After posting I checked the old save and it doesn't set me back too far actually, only about 4 levels which considering how old it is isn't too bad.

Annoying but maybe necessary as I like trading with Trudy as I can never find enough ammo for my rifle so keep trading purified water for ammo.

I just shot a settler at Abernathy farm, ran to Sanctuary and slept 72 hours then went back and they weren't hostile any more so try sleeping /waiting 3 days.

I get that a lot with Piper she just gets a monk on for a few days then she is ok... She did run off once with my best power armour suit which was a pain.....

This game offers so much if you just wander and explore, I have found some fascinating missions by just running into people. I have just found an old pirate ship which is interesting....

My game time is 11D 18H 16M at present.....

This is why I resisted the temptation to get the season pass while it was still cheaper, there's so much in the base game that I simply can't see myself needing even more content.

Thanks for the replies guys, I will keep playing and hopefully she stops being hostile. If not and I have to lose some progress I can blame you both now :p

I agree though there is so much to explore, my play time is only around 40 hours but it has all been spent just walking around. Eventually I will start the actual story :D

Just hit level 51. I'm determined to get to 100 but I'm slowly running out of game. I do keep finding unexplored areas by wandering. Some have lead to some superb and weird missions. The main story off this game is by far the weakest part, The characters and story you find by exploring is miles better. The game really rewards you for just wandering....

Unfortunately I feel my journey has come to an end. The bit I was most dreading is now forced upon me, faffing around trying to build the signal interceptor thing is too confusing/boring for me to want to try to understand it. Shame, its been brilliant up to this point. :(

Pick a point on map walk to it find missions people to talk too on way. Best way to play the game tbh.......

Building the signal interceptor is pretty easy just build the bits it says then wire it all together. If you get stuck have a look at the Fallout Wiki lots of useful tips on that..

Easiest part of the game! Took me a couple of minutes if that. But I had spent a lot of time building settlement stuff so I found it very straightforward.

Its great having loads of content but I find the game neeeds to have better ways to arrange that content
Like the quest to collect technical documents for the brother hood. Its never ending and annoys the pants off me as I can't get rid of it off my quest list. Another is the never ending quests for the minute men. Oh really another town needs my help? It wouldn't be the town that I have saved 4 times already?? And guess what! They agreed to join us for the 5th time now!

So yea. Lots of content but needs more in the way of menus to arrange that content.
