**** Official Fallout 4 Thread ****

Was getting solid 60FPS on ultra 1080p on my sig rig... until it rained. It looks amazing (and very like STALKER, so loving it) but getting as low as 25fps...

Those with SLI; are you finding AFR 1 or 2 better?

Done some digging and found the game was limited to 30 fps by default. I changed iPresentInterval=1, to iPresentInterval=0 in the fallout4pref.ini and thank god it sorted the framerate issue for me. Running at 100+ fps now :)

Bad move. You'll encounter all sorts of bugs with bethesda games at high FPS. Leave iPresentInterval at 0, but enable VSync via your driver CP to cap the FPS at 60.

Thats what everyone should do instead of coming on here moaning there **** off...

I just played all of 5 minutes before the motion sickness made it impossible to continue :/

I've already increased fov and disabled mouse acceleration so I guess I'll wait to see what other tweaks become available in the next few days.

I had to work today, so came home about 7 to play on the 2xTX PC in the sig. A couple of tweaks required (NCP fix for SLI and the iPresentInterval fix) although it ran nice on one card.

It's brilliant so far! Graphics are great (on ultra anyway) and it works great SLI on a Swift. Pip boy app works on my iPad.

9/10.

9 because it crashes to desktop every hour or so - therefore I'm saving like anything.

TX temps are great (65/60).

Worth every penny - £50 odd is a ticket for 3 to the cinema!

I am still heart broken my system settings were set to medium before I tinkered with it after. I have some settings on ultra some on high and some on medium. The thing that is bugging me most is trying to aim and shoot fast moving targets like the bloodbugs and wild dogs for example I would use vats but it's hit and miss.

All in all I am now seeing the light and adapting to a new game in which I will get used to quickly. I have just entered
Diamond city
so this will give me ample oppurtunity to loot and explore which was something I couldn't wait to do I just love it :)

I had to set the fov to 100, I was still getting motion sickness at 90.

To turn Vsync off do you have to change values to 1 in the 3 different config files for it to work?

Running nice on mine 4k Ultra no AA 55fps average with gsync ( I hope) and TX@1500mhz, though sweetfx file does take 5 fps off that if I use it.

I have to say the first thing I did was disable the mouse acceleration and motion blur, cant stand that ****, still present in the menus as well but I can just about deal with that.

Currently running at 4k with a mixture of mostly ultra settings with a few things turned down to high and medium (god rays set to low) seems to run alright (i'm not going to get hung up over watching an fps counter I would rather get on with playing).

Enjoying the game so far, it's my first fallout game so I don't really have much to compare it to but I can see myself spending monsterous amounts of time playing it :)
