**** Official Fallout 4 Thread ****

There is a really good tips and tricks thread on reddit atm. Well worth a looky. I wont link it as there are more than a few swearies. :)

EDIT: Added some in

1.At your workbench press T to immediately dump all your junk into the container. That's triangle on ps4. The E button is X on ps4.
2.The laser musket can be charged twice, just hit reload again. The more charges, the more damage.
3.You can give your settlers specific jobs to do. Open the construction menu and find your settler, then assign them a task.
4.You can remove the mods on the weapons you find, instead of just dismantling them altogether.
5.Legendary weapons and armors are marked with a star. (I'm pretty sure, could be wrong).
6.At your weapons or armor bench you can tag the certain components you need with T. The appropriate items you find in the world will be marked with a magnifying glass. (Should be obvious but I overlooked it until recently.)
7.If you're against a corner and you aim down the sights you will peek around the wall. That's the new cover system.
8.Searchlights can be shot down.
9.Hold Down Shift to use WASD for Crafting and Dialogue options instead of the Arrow Keys for the PC Version.
10.You can turn sideways to squeeze through tight openings.
11.Hold down Q to enter VATS mode without enemies present. This allows you to view the VANS Quest Trail Perk so you can see the path to your next objective.
12.While using the missile launcher, you can shoot, start the reload, switch weapon and back and the thing is reloaded
13.If you are building yourself a house in the first town, don't pay attention to the old houses bases, instead, start by creating the floor, the walls will snap correctly and you will have correct dimensions. (I tried to follow the bases and it was pure frustration...)
14.This is a carry over from 3 and NV but when you're hacking, if there are open and close brackets of the same kind, hovering over the open one will highlight them both. Click on these to either remove a dud word or occasionally reset your number of tries.
15.tab and right click for a torch

Nvidia control panel, 3d settings, add fallout4.exe, set sli to alternate frame 2. Sorry paraphrasing but thats the fix. Hope that helps!

Thanks :). But unfortunately mine runs worse than with a single card lol

Guess just have to wait for an SLI profile. Running well with one card 1440p high settings over 100-144fps vast majority of the time.

As a test I too tried my FPS uncap over 60 and sure enough not only did it break one of the terminal interfaces ( Couldn't come out of it, or see anything displayed ), but the subtitles couldn't keep up with the characters talking :)

I have gotten stuck in a couple terminals aswell. Had to reload the save. I just lockpicked a door and Even the lockpick sounds are the same as skyrim...lol

Enjoying the game very much so far though.

just played 4 hours of it and loving it

4k godlight low, shadow details medium everything else ultra.

stays around 60fps drop to mid 40's when all hell breaks loose.

Not had 1 bug at all yet. no crash nothing touch wood.

mmm seems to be running ok on mine too

running at 1440p, on a oc'd 290 - everything ultra and on except for 2 shadows which are on high

averaging around 55fps and feels smooth - heating up GPU though !

Apologies if this has been posted.

But does anyone else have this problem?
I'm playing in 3440x1440 and the green background seems to be incorrectly positioned. (I also changed the FOV)

I think I am getting a handle on the armour crafting now. It is very similar to Dragon Age Inquisition, though a it more in depth.

It needs more info in the inventory screen though. I am currently wearing a 'shadowed leather right arm' which I believe makes it harder to be spotted in dark areas, but it doesn't say that anywhere.

Bad move. You'll encounter all sorts of bugs with bethesda games at high FPS. Leave iPresentInterval at 0, but enable VSync via your driver CP to cap the FPS at 60.

Well so far I have not run into anything that's of concern. It's running quite smooth. I'm averaging around 70+ frames now that I'm out of the starter vault, with the highest reaching around 128. I will definitely limit the fps to 60 if stuttering etc pops up.

Thanks for the heads up.

There are some odd little quirks, I seem to have stored my power armour in a workbench without actually getting out of it in the first place, whoops.
So then I parked up and got out, but can't seem to 'rack' the armour on the armour upgrade bench.

Need to have a good read at how to do things.

How someone can say this game isn't atmospheric is beyond me. And these are just this weather type. Don't even get me started on radiation storms!!!
