You will need to get more power armour frames that are scattered around map. I've got a total of 4 frames so far just by exploring without using power armour.

Just store the spare parts you find into a container in a settlement for the time being.
 
Jesus I cannot wait until someone makes a mod that lets you clip through companions. The amount of times Dogmeat stands right in my way so I can't even get through doorways is RIDICULOUS.
 
Level 40 now, still not really started the main quest, just been exploring and building my large Settlement at Sanctuary and the Castle.

Also built myself an "Ironman" Style Workshop where i'm keeping all the power armors i find, got 8 so far :) been hard work finding the materials to repair/replace missing parts etc.

Yeah it does quickly get an Iron Man vibe when you start your collection. Especially when you give them paintjobs and decals. I bet there will be a flying power suit mod eventually.

interestingly this was such a major issue in the very first fallout game in fallout 2 they added a "push button" so you right click on a companion and push them and they move a few hexes out of the way.

nice to see its back :p

so whats the pwoer armour stuff allabout then?

do you build them up for difernt roles like say a super lgihtweight one that lets you run relaly fast and a super heavy tank one etc or is it just the standard differnt models?

still works didn't get me out of the console bug though that cost me 30 minutes of my life. 10 minutes doing it the first time and 20 minutes to do it all again apparently i got a really lucky crit on the boss with the minigun the first time round. Had to play hide and seek for 10 minutes the second time lol.

I port back for it if i need it. certain areas are pretty harsh without it. Depends how you play i suppose. too many times i've taken a not so short cut and regretted it :D Damned blood suckers and legendary bloat flies

I hadn't really until now. I took the perk in Intelligence which lets Fusion Core's last much longer (and radiation weapons do more damage) so now I don't mind using them so much :)

I much prefer it now as while combat is a bit easier, my character doesn't look so rubbish in conversations now.
 
I usr the power armour for the Glowing Sea and whenever I'm doing a Brotherhood mission.

Think of it as a vehicle really.

^if the helmet was hidden during cutscenes I'd never use power armour!

Not even been collecting them :o although I carry round way to many guns I don't use so rarly have enough space.

I believe I've only found one place which I don't want to do without it which is the hospital with super mutants in.
