**** Official Fallout 4 Thread ****

I thought the subway was very atmospheric. The only problem was that often it didn't make much sense in terms of the world map. You could travel a few metres in one direction, leave the subway and find you were nowhere near where you thought you would be.

Hehe :D

Looks like it's cheaper to get a hard copy of the game than it is to have the PC download!

Many games are cheaper as a hard copy, makes no sense but I'm sure there's a reason. DVDs are so 'pre-war' but the box will look good on the shelf :)

FO4 is a Steamworks game so it doesn't really matter which format you buy it in. If you can save a few quid then go for it.

is nice to see digital spy and then eurogamer click baiting all over the place this morning about 1080p30. i remember a day when digital spy actually did quality reporting not this trash.

You don't need a DVD drive for the hard copy. Just whack the code in to Steam and download the whole thing from there.

Good point well made - might be tempted to go down that route myself if I see it.

Although chances are I'll cave shortly before release day and just pre-order via Steam itself, of course

Anyone else slightly concerned over how sucessful the fallout app has been financially? And that's just for iOS! It could be a good thing, giving them more funds to invest into thier main games (consoles/pc) . As long as this doesn't make them shift focus in the future, then the more fallout related games the better.

Looks like I will pick up the collectors edition, normally don't bother (Arkham Knight was going to be another exception before they pulled the plug) but this just looks awesome. Can't wait for the mods also!

You may be very well out of luck for this, Game sold out in 5 days I think, lots of people bought multiple copies to then sell on eBay for £250 which has annoyed a fair few people.

I think it is a good thing...it will get more people into the game.

The app is brilliant. So addictive and the perfect free/pay combo. One of the best apps on the app store.

Yeah, you're correct, just had a look around. :( Here's hoping they release more of them due to the demand.

I'm half glad that they're sold out, it means that I wont blow £100 on one.

But at the same time, a small part of me just died... :(

Bethesda have officially confirmed that PC is the master race.

Anyone else going to be throwing lots of money at a new rig before November 10th? :D

Not sure you will need a new rig for this. My 670/3570k played Witcher 3 very comfortably nearly maxed on the 1080p TV, granted I had to limit the framerate to 30 to stop the jittering but it could hit 60 in plenty of areas, though the jittering is just down to optimisation more than anything. Fallout 4 should not require much power to run, unless it's horribly optimised like say... Fallout 3, Oblivion, Skyrim... Oh wait. :(

:D
