**** Official Fallout 4 Thread ****

My limited experience with hard copy pre-orders is that they are generally dispatched to arrive no later than release day, often the day before.

Word has it that additional stock of Pipboy Editions are becoming available. Currently some in America/Canada, and the EU should be seeing some fairly soon. If you want the collectors edition then you'll need to be quick, I don't think they will last very long!

We will get info later this week on phones that will fit the Pipboy. Just in time too, I'm due an upgrade and this may stop me going for the Note 4 :D

If I order this from Amazon, are they likely to send it out before the release date so that I can preload it?
In my experience it will be a day or two before release to get it to you on release day. But why would you want to pre-load it anyway? You don't download the game, just install it from discs through Steam.

Bethesda have officially confirmed that PC is the master race.
Anyone else going to be throwing lots of money at a new rig before November 10th? :D

That's the plan!

Sold my old rig a while back. The release date will allow me to assess skylake and the boards for it and who knows? The 980ti might be 400 quid by then ;)

And that Asus ips gsync panel might be out

Good times :D

The Fallout 4 Pip-Boy edition was re-released in the USA last night, and everywhere sold out again incredibly quickly.

I think we'll see a small handful available on GAME probably tomorrow, maybe Friday. And they'll all be gone within a few hours no doubt.

Glad I've already got my pre-order in.

Kicking myself for not adding it when I first looked. Only ever collectors edition I've bought before was BioShock 2 but that only had an art book and a vinyl record, nowhere near this level of cool!

Be interesting to see what the official system requirements are - then I can decide whether or not I need to upgrade my rig.

That still from American Psycho just makes me think of the scene where he had a crossword filled in with meat, bones, meat bones haha. Different scene mind.

That's actually my favorite one out of all my collectors editions (and I have a few...), its not some piece of plastic with stickers on (not saying the pipeboy will be but a lot are).

As like most of the "collectors editions" which are made in the hundreds of thousands it won't be hard to pick one up after a few months of people getting bored of it and cashing in.

On another note how's everyone finding the IOS game? Played it on my gf's ipad but it crashes an aweful lot (ipad was reset back to factory and updates before the install) and doesn't really have a lot to offer imo.

GAME will advertise more Pipboy editions once they have sorted some technical issues with their website.

F5 at the ready if you want a last chance to bag a collectors edition.

Smart Phone Compatibility
We have new information on the phones compatible with the Pip-Boy Edition. The Pip-Boy included will have foam inserts that fit iPhone 6, iPhone 5/5s, iPhone 4/4S, Samsung Galaxy 5, and Samsung Galaxy 4. In addition, using the customizable foam insert you should be able to fit most other popular smartphone devices. As we wanted to stay faithful to the dimensions of the in-game model, any smartphones larger than the models listed will not fit inside the wearable device. For these larger devices, our Pip-Boy companion app will still be available.
