**** Official Fallout 4 Thread ****

sorry rookie question, but I have just got my character top side (out of the vault) but he is running around in his undies....how to you equip a simple vault suit? :o:o:confused:

Best perks to get first are the hacking and lockpicking. They open you up to so much more loot and items.

Pip-boy, inventory then sub section apparel or something similar I think

I find you level up quickly and if you have put every point in specials then it should be all perks from now on. You need lock picking and hacking thought o get ammo and caps or you might struggle a bit. Maybe write down the locations with locks you cant pick?

If its a worry just use the console command. It wont affect achievements

Pip Boy > Apparel and then click on the vault suit. If it has a little square to the left of an item it is equipped :)
 
So I'm like 8 hours in the game now, been sent to diamond city. So on the way there I did some exploring in the surrounding areas. Should I continue exploring or should I go into diamond city?

I'm like outside it :p
 
I seem to be just saving up my "talent points" until i hit a safe i cant lockpick / a bunch of enemies i cant kill etc >_<

Just pumped 2 points into the rifle perk, which has made a hell of a difference :) I also really need so start using VATS more...i literally NEVER use it :(

Totally up to you. Personally I'd explore.
 
Saw this mod incase some of you are short of ammunition and want to make some more yourself. It be slightly conflicting with your Settlement though, as it using resources needed for that, but if not into that part to much might be useful. Anyway, thought I post it here for you all. :p

I would go in. No need to do missions, but some vendors in there that can be useful to you for when exploring. I don't recall any missions or details getting revealed in detail when going in that anything was spoiled.

I'm level 25, not used VATS since level 10 :)
 
I met the murlok queen last night :( wish I had more explosives as she's a tough old girl. 2 nuke grenades didn't do as much damage as I would have liked against her...or I missed.

Similar thing happened to me. Got to...

Kendall Hospital. Rinsed out all the raiders, jumped down to the basement level and holy hell!! Deathclaw!!

hahaha..yeah I was clicking that..but wasn't in 3rd person mode so didn't hear or see any difference, so I guess I clicked it multiple times and when I went 3rd person I was naked (as it turned out..again...as it had equiped it before I clicked in frustration again).

Game is kind of cool... :)
