please pop by my shop when you are on I have about 60 ish rare plans which dropped for me as duplicates. I spent about 30K caps on buying the materials for the gifts to make my own as way faster than grinding the santa scorch

Which size of gift did you buy? Is it worth buying the medium or large?

EDIT: I took a look. I only found 2 vending machines at your camp and 4 plans I didn't know. Two mounted animal heads and 2 raider PA mods. I'll spend the ~4500 caps on wrapping paper instead.

By the way, your Santatron collection box isn't locked. You only had a basketball and a lump of coal in there when I looked, but it's probably worth locking in case it finds a present and another player takes it.

Sure buy the 4500 caps wrapping paper but you have no guarantee of the plans given I have spent over 35K Caps now & have about 80 duplicate plans which is why I am charging 1K per animal head right now to recoup some of my massive loses trust me farming santa scorched is not worth the resource just keep buying gift paper & crafting your own as you get x2 with the Chemist perk enabled

I do not care about locking the box all he brings me is junk so I do not care about him or his bad attitude!! LOL

4500 caps for 4 plans I don't want doesn't seem worth it. A punt at plans I do want is more appealing to me.

Bah! I bought 5 large and 5 medium (all that I could buy in Whitespring - only the vendor bots have them and they only have 1 of each size) and crafted 10 presents. I had Super Duper on, but I didn't think about Chemist because the presents aren't chems.

Hmm...maybe the setting is wrong. The Santatron can collect Christmas stuff or the same junk as the Collectron.

EDIT: I've just looked at a list of datamined chances of each thing. The taxidermy plans and a couple of Christmas-themed camp items supposedly only come from the large presents. Everything else can come from any size, with medium having a slightly larger chance than small. Medium also has a chance of generating caps and large has a chance of generating caps and scrip. But buying only small "generates" more caps by you not spending them. So small for me from now on. And the Chemist perk.

EDIT EDIT That data was wrong. I've just repeatedly got taxidermy plans from medium gifts. Ah no, it's only some extra rare taxidermy plans that are from the large presents only.

I learned 2 new weapon mod plans from the 26 presents. And some winter icicles and a bunch of mounted animal heads. I'll do this event again tomorrow.

You have about a 0.33% chance of getting any Plans whatsoever from the gifts IME after crafting about 80 of these now & Small is good enough for most plans

The winter icicles look really nice a bright blue neon glow surprised Bethe$da even allow this for no £££ Atoms purchases

Did you get any of the rare taxidermy plans, like megasloth or mirelurk king? You posted a link to a list a dozen or so posts back and it lists some rare taxidermy plans as large present only.

I think it would be much quicker to scav for and sell 1400 caps worth of stuff to buy wrapping paper than it would be to farm scorched for the same number of presents

@Angilion I only have the more common plans but they are ALL rare as none drop anymore in normal play or you have a 0.003% drop rate chance.

I have about 26\43 animal heads now. Not really bothered about collecting those all anymore as I will never display them anyway as I think they look really morbid & hideous.

I really want the complete set of T45 & T51 PA complete sets. I have most of the T51 plans & a few of the T45.

There are also a really cool looking Santa Crash plan where he looks like he has crashed into your CAMP wall & a few others like the Winter lights x 2 variants to that & I think a plan for a Blue Metalic ********* Santa suit as well as the ultra rare Dense Combat Armour plan (I have a spare in my shop for sale!)

The turrets in my camp attack my Santatron. It's invulberable, but the noise makes the camp unusable.

19 patches and there are still a bizarre amount of basic bugs. For example, the game still crashes if you eat or drink repeatedly. It's a bit sad, really, and exposes how much Bethesda were dependent on modders for even their unmodded games.

EDIT: I'm now up to 262 spare plans and recipes and I don't keep any duplicates past 3 copies. I could take it past 300 with treasure maps and presents. Every plan is 50 caps! Even the rare ones. Want to know how to make Fatman nuke launchers from scratch? 50 caps! Jetpacks? 50 caps!

Apart from beaver. I got 6 beaver plans from presents, so I put them all in my vending machine at 0 caps.

I also got rid of the Santatron. The Collectron can be set to collect Christmas stuff and my turrets don't attack it.

Any newbies want free water or plants or cheap plans or any other players want to browse a load of plans in case there's 1 you don't already have - I'm Soloman1862 ingame and my camp is on the road between the Overseer's camp and Flatwood, just before you get to the Green County Lodge. Feel free to use my workshop too. No free junk for the time being, because my Collectron is looking for Christmas presents.

Holy crap, I got the plasma grenade plan!

Micro/macro transactioned (sic) games are just not for me, and seeing the overpriced crap in the store that would be free in FO4 via modders just makes me sad.

I've watched a couple of videos on how Zenimax aka Robert Altman has ruined Bethesda with his greed and FO76 is the result.

Won't be supporting Bethesda in the future, and this is from someone who has bought every FO game and quite a few other Bethesda games.

You do know after you spent your 8 quid you can get ALL micro transactions items in game for free by grinding challenges & doing ingame actions?

The microtransactions are ONLY for players who do not have the patience to just play the game regular!!

I think I'd read that here before, but still found it jarring to see the store.

I guess there's worst ways to spend £8, but in the admittedly short time I played it, I found it unappealing, I guess I just don't want multiplayer FO.

I know you don't have to interact if you don't want to, but I still felt bad when I didn't respond to another newbie's request to team up, not that I knew how to...if there was a cue, I missed it.

Maybe if it ever drops to a fiver I'll get it!

Did you get the fatman plan? If not and if it's still there when I play next, I'll take it out of the machine so I can give it to you. All my machines are full of plans and I still have a couple of dozen left over, so I can put another plan in there instead.

That's not true. It's impossible to grind anywhere near enough atom points to get all the crap in the atomic shop. Not even 1/10th of it. Probably not 1/100th of it.

If you spend several hours per day every day grinding for atom points, you could probably get 500 a week. A single skin for a single object can cost 1800. US$18 of real money for a paintjob for a suit of armour that doesn't even exist.

I've bought every Elder Scrolls game and every Fallout game, most of them with all the DLCs. I pre-ordered FO4 and pre-paid for all the DLCs before any details of them were released. Then they ruined the whole thing with FO76. I'll probably buy FO5 if Bethesda survive long enough to make it, but only after I've seen reviews and only if it's available cut-price. They blighted the franchise with FO76 and how they handled it. Their newfound contempt for customers is remarkable, extending past the usual malice of manipulative greed right the way to outright fraud.

IME its worth it for under a tenner but coming from Fallout 4 yep its very jarring You can go to the social menu to accept the request from others as the reason they do this usually is you get extra XP for certain challenges & or a few more Atoms (the ingame microtransaction currency). It was possible for quite some time to get about 4000 Atoms a month AND another 12-15,000 Atoms from regular play but now Bethe$da have nerfed it a lot so you can either be patient & grind for the Atoms or ignore the cosmetic items altogether!

I've just popped back to my camp to check and it's gone. I'd spawned at Welch because that's where I left yesterday. It must have sold yesterday.

EDIT: Big day for sales yesterday - I sold 29 plans while wandering around grinding for atom points and scavving for junk to sell for caps to buy wrapping paper.

I just got another plasma grenade plan! Do you want it? I've got a couple of dozen spare plans on me. My vending machines are full of plans, as usual. You're welcome to pick through the ones I have on me and take any you don't already know.

EDIT: Hmm...they've all gone. I dropped at least 30 plans, probably more. I thought you'd only not know a couple (especially the plasma grenade). More Bethesda buggery...err..bugginess?

Thanks for the Santa Crash plan. I didn't have that one. Good swap for my extra plasma grenade plan.

I've just noticed that your camp is mostly in the air. It's apt that you put some magic fairy castles on the part that's supported by empty air

Do you need any of the plans I have in my vendors let me know which ones if you do you can have them for free the high prices are for the punters ha ha & believe you me some are paying for a LOT of stock I am using all the money to buy even more gift paper LOL but the Plans rewards are really lame now as I have learned a lot of them but like any good Fallout player I must have ALL just because its there!

Hanging your CAMP off a cliff like mine brings advantages as you only get attacked from one side that is why I did it back in July but moving soon to another view!

I would only have sold them in my machines for 50 caps each. So I lost maybe 1500 caps to those disappearing plans. My plans are selling fast at 50 caps each - a player just swung by my camp about bought ~30 plans! I've sold ~50 just since I came on tonight. There are only 185 left in my vending machines...and now I don't have any spare plans to put in the empty slots.

I'm still charging 50 caps. Maybe some people are buying to resell. If plans are selling for the 1000+ caps you're charging, buying them from me at 50 caps each would be profitable. I'm doing it as a service to players who actually want the plans that they don't know, but some players will just see an opportunity to profit from me.
