I got one of those yesterday the thing with these drops is it seems to misfire so when you buy one or see a mod for one suddenly your next few drops are the same I have found. Its very inconsistent. Also bought Internal Database which adds +2 Int which is handy to have now I could move 2 Int Points to another Perk if I want to.

Now I have (without perks which boost even further) +18 Str + 17 Int + 17 End 490 HP & 460 Carry Weight @ level 98 (my 98 is without any boosting whatsoever so god knows what level I would be at if I had boosted!).

Whilst it's nice that certain gear adds to your SPECIAL stats, by moving points around unfortunately means you also lose some perk cards. I think there's only a handful of stats that are worth going beyond max.

I've seen some players on Reddit with lvl31 INT, offering PA build services, as they can extend the condition of the item to it's absolute maximum.
 
Yeah I do have a few perks for guns breaking. The repairing isnt too bad now, just crafting. Its coming together, just need more levels and perks. :)

*its ballistic fibre I need now :p

You can repair Armour, Power Armour & Weapons up to 200% of Maximum its just a case of having the Perk cards & equipping them you only need to be lvl50 to do this no need for lvl 31 INT!!! I already have this for Power Armour & Weapons just equip the Perk card repair or craft the item then unequip the Perk card until you need it again! I also do this on Vendors so I get a 30% discount AND eat a Grape mentat for another few % discount ;)

Then once you put 5 Stars into the Perk card you can have virtually unlimited durability on Weapons but you need 1 Perk card for Melee, 1 for Energy 1 for Pistols 1 for Rifles, 1 for Shotguns so that is a lot of Perk cards to max out @ 5 Stars each!!
 
how are people making caps? i havent found any decent way of making caps yet :/
Many ways easiest is just build a decent base to harvest resource to sell to vendors but you need to maintain, repair & defend which is time consuming :eek:

I just scav the wasteland which means I only have about 2K max as I spend most of it fast travelling or buying PA mods!

Actually it was 39 Intelligence, and more intelligence does the following:

Higher Intelligence increases the maximum amount of Durability of crafted Power Armor, and lets it degrade slower during combat.

While actual Durability above 100%, achieved through crafting and repairing with the right Perks, adds Damage Resistance to the Power Armor pieces which scales with the extra amount.

This means, crafting a good set of Power Armor with high Intelligence and the right Perks will effectively grant the wearer a more effective Damage Resistance for a longer amount of time.

Yes it looks like barely an amount worth faffing to get 39 INT, but for some players the extra damage resistance and durability will be well worth it.
 
@ Semple Trust me when you get the Perk Cards for +200% Repairs on Weapons or Power Armour they
never ever break & degrade so slowly you will hardly notice its so minimal! I have been using the same Excavator PA suit for over a month its in more or less the same condition as a month ago just had to do a minor repair on the Helmet & that was it :eek: with Buffs & Perks these weapons do so much DMG most of what I hit is 1 or 2 hits Max now :)

That is why I went with a PA friendly build Perks Wise it removes so much hassle from having to constantly scav for repairs now I scav for fun & to earn Atoms or upgrades as cosmetic nice to haves but its no essential as I can also craft Super Sledges with massive DMG ;) that is the beauty of this game we can all choose a different path & get different results ;)

Also not sure 100% but do not think its possible to even get Int to 39. Max is 19 (15 base + 2 PA Helmet Mod + other PA mods + up to +5 temp from Buffs so by my rough estimate its around 20-21 Max temporary or 19 Perm).

If I was boosting for XP my level would be about 250 by now but I am happy with 98 & no boosting & just enjoying the varied game world instead!!

Yeah i've had the 200% perk for a while now, although i don't find it lasts as long as i'd like :)

Was only making you aware what the higher INT can be used for. Perks + mods + buffs will take you to 31, and then you need a serum to get to 39.

EDIT: Oh the calibrated shocks is a must, i can now carry 525 during the day, and can even push that further with buffs/food.
 
@ Semple Yeah Calibrated Shocks for Excavator is the Holy Grail right now will let me boost to 625 Carry weight when I can find the 2nd one as 1 on its own makes no difference same as if you lose any PA suit part from DMG you lose the entire PA suite benefits either a bug or another weird design decision :rolleyes: (why I choose to have an all PA friendly Perks lineup ;) ).

+200% Perk works best if you also have the +5 Perk Card for the weapon durability which means you have to sink 8 Points into that Perk path alone does not leave many for anything else!
 
@AWPC sorry i've got all the motion assist plans for PA, seems to be the only ones i've picked up!

I was trying to sell my duplicates bought in error I am very low on Caps like only a few 100 left! Sorry I have to go now might be back later though it was fun but also glitchy you kept going invisible for some reason seems to be a common bug :eek:

Ahhh right. I don't know how you manage to run out of caps so quick! :p Are you visiting the traders each day?

I'm now a bit skinter than i was, ran off earlier to buy this monster for 13k caps. This was absolutely shredding those super mutants.

Although as you saw, shooting in too close range ended up killing myself! :D:D:D Was great fun though!

I can't see why not, there's no real-world money changing hands which is all OCUK will be concerned about.

Although if you need it urgently + it being a rare/uncommon item, you'd have better luck on the Reddit FO76 market.
 
When I'm out and about I pick up chems and legendary weapons that are not worth keeping and I've got 20,000 caps,spent 6k yesterday on some mutations I wanted,had to buy what I wanted as I spent two days sitting in radationated water at black water mines.x
