**** Official Fallout 76 Thread ****

@ Semple sorry I have to go for now. Just accidently scrapped my Excavator Calibrated Shocks due to it lagging meaning I hit the wrong button  :(

I was trying to show you those 4 different vendors under the Whitesprings Bunker they sell all 3 of those serums you were talking about for about 3200 Caps each ;) If you buy them then most likely they will appear as drops in the game as that is how it seems to work you just buy something then it appears as a drop!

Oh no :(

Yeah i lost you as soon as you got into the bunker, unfortunately it doesn't show a waypoint in there, and FT just takes you back to the entrance. I was running around trying to find you inside it.

Woah that's quite expensive! I bought the Adrenal Reaction recipe earlier for 10k caps, so if you need some made just chuck us the materials.

Keep revisiting under the Whitehall Springs bunker there are at least 3 or 4 vendors there selling different items like the 3 Serums (which I think are either in Production Bay or Medical Bay). Those plans I was offering you earlier cost me big caps I have been buying them all up for almost a week now have about half of them must have spent about 20K Caps

Yeah I'd rather get the serum recipes, buying serums from the vendors is a huge amount of caps.

I'll have a look through some of the ones you gave me earlier and give you back what I've already got. I was taking a proper look but then that other player came by :D.

Had a few SBQ kills tonight, but still no serum recipe drops :(. I did make about 15k tonight from selling my other legendarys.

15K  no wonder I am always broke! Just mopping up the 30 or so treasure maps never bothered looking for them before & digging a lot of treasure, plans & items can be found this way but its very time consuming plus hard to store the gear as you can only sell 1400 caps worth per day.

Yeah you really need to use reddit FO76 market, it takes a while to build up caps otherwise. I tend to sell/drop the 1* to the vendors, and then any 2* or 3* that I don't want, I'll stick on the marketplace.

Otherwise if you want to make some quick money - bulk lead/plastic/steel/balisticfibre, thousands of rounds of ammo, or even flux farming.

Did you see my 3* bloodied super sledge? I was trying to find a grognaks axe, but some player offered up the ss with the same stats. When I'm around 10-20% health it deals ~500 damage without any perks. Just a bit risky staying that low in health.

3* no never seen one as a drop in well over 700 hours! But you do not even need this anymore tbh. With the right Perk Cards & Buffs the std weapons are almost as good ;)

For example. When we clear out Tek Systems together (you can easily do it Solo now though) pick up a lvl 50 from the Super Mutants (easiest place to get one which is guaranteed as a drop every single time). Repair it with the +3 200% Weapon Condition Perk Card & also at the same time be wearing the +2 INT PA Helmet (Internal Database) & apply any Chem Buffs to get your INT over 20 although on mine for instance I am always +20 INT without any Buffs bosting it further ;) Now when you repair the lvl 50 SS it should give around 240-260 DMG per hit which is good as its also very strong & lasts forever if you have the right Perk cards. The trick is make sure you have these Perk cards enabled:

Expert Slugger +3
Martial Artist + 3
Incisor + 3
Night Person + 3
Nocturnal Fortitude +2
Lifegiver 3
Tenderize +3
Makeshift Warrior + 5
Weapon Artisan +3
Power Smith +3
Power Patcher +3
Adrenaline +5

What these do combined is allow you to use Power Armour (this is all built around having decent PA for protection) which is virtually unbreakable & requires minimal repairs. When I have all of these enabled when I run at an enemy & swing the SS after the 3 hit on any enemy the Adrenaline +5 Perk card means its dealing +60% more DMG so combined with the other Perks above it gives up to 520 DMG per swing ;) :D this means I can run at any lvl 68 Super Mutant & 1 hit kill them if I also have the ignore 75% of their Armour Perk enabled ;)

Now I also have the Grognak Axe 1* which I got as a random drop when clearing outside Tek with you!! (ALL of these are totally random drops but having found 1 & or having it on you increases the chance of getting another! I have found LEG drops from containers or just lying around its all so RNG!!). My Grognak does not quite get to the same DMG as the SS & it breaks easier so not that great although I am sure 2-3* would be better. Although saying that I took a lvl95 SBQ out with my Grognak the other day in 2 hits with the Perk card to apply 100% DMG if the enemy is 100% Health ;) but cannot say for sure if it was that or the other players with higher lvl DMG weapons!

Anyway with all of these Perk Cards combined & you also mod the SS to have either a Rocket or other DMG mod like the Heating Coil to further increase DMG making them almost invincible & they require minimal Repairs. ;) IMO LEG require more repairs they are no where near as durable as non LEG modded weapons. I did once have a 2* Bloodied SS but it broke

Who needs 2-3* LEG yes they are better overall but not sure worth the extra Caps to buy just see if you can get as a drop or do what I do put everything into PA & Melee build with the right perks you get around 520DMG per hit which is more than enough for most enemies & also requires little to no repairs so takes a lot of hassle away ;) this is why I also now buy all relevant Plans & Mods I can afford to try & unlock a few more % DMG mods as when its Buffing & the +60% DMG Adrenaline Perk kicks in that obviously stacks so the increase of a few % extra DMG becomes much more as its multiplied by whatever Perks & Buffs boost it further to :D

You have to remember that my character build was suited more to shotguns - hence my TSE pump can get about ~1400 damage. So i have no melee perks that i can use - base dmg for me on melee weapons is around 180, and that's only because i have 15 STR. This is where 3* legendaries come handy, the stats on my SS are Bloodied + 40% increased swing speed + 90% weight reduction. As everyone knows, fighting ghouls etc you will lose health, so more i lose the higher dmg output i get. I also noticed when we were killing super mutants with SS, that i was getting 3 strikes in versus your 2. And in my opinion the best trait is the 90% weight reduction, SS are extremely heavy at 20 Ibs, and this trait brings that down to a mere 2 Ibs. (i can carry a gatling gun + SS for the same weight as a normal SS).

Will grab a screenshot of my perk loadout.

Also, there's not much to spend caps on in the game, so may as well buy the best weapons possible. If you really are interested in one, save up 10k caps, and i'll get one off the reddit marketplace for you. - The Grognaks axe seems to be much harder/rarer to get, or might be substantially more expensive.

@Angilion @AWPC Latest inside the vault suggests next week will have the feature to show which plans have been learned - something i know you've both expressed frustration with.

It mentions another big round of bug fixes, but nothing exclusively to stability/CTD/freezes - can only hope they haven't forgotten about this.

I have ALL the low weight perks equipped as well!

The trouble with your low energy build is its easy to die at times & as you saw with me other players will steal your gear  Emergency Protocol is supposed to use a Stimpack when your health drops below 20% but it does not appear to work at all I found it a complete waste of time.

I found if you use the Perk to Double lifespan for Bobbleheads & Magazines then Bobbleheads last forever as long as you limit your playtime to under 3 hours before exiting to the main menu it then resets to 3 hours again so you get it forever (or until they nerf their own buff  ). I am using a +20% Melee DMG Bobblehead to add another 20% DMG to any Melee weapons gives me a little extra DMG ;) You can also combine this with Magazines to add even more DMG! Right now I can 1 hit kill a lvl 68 Super Mutant ;)

Few hours in, now level 9.

Few interesting bugs. Logged into one server and spawned inside a building that had no doors. Nice. Had one where I couldn't move, almost like I was lagging, but wasn't. Reconnected twice, still no change. Restarted the entire thing and it worked fine.

Had one session where my ammo didn't go down. I kinda liked that one. ;)

Oh and I can't turn the constant bloody music off... volume turned all the way down and it's still there! Turned up, and down again, still there!

[edit]

FINALLY got the music off. Took 3 restarts of the game for it to take notice.

Also.. Is it normal for a Level 11 character to take down a level 68 super mutant?

Music as in the radio?

A lvl 68 SM on it's own, probably not too bad, if there's a swarm of them... another story :)

The generic background music. The radio I turn on and off as required.

Was only a single level 68 sm, but there was several others around my level or slightly higher. Just seemed too easy.

Sure I will take meet me ingame :D I also have a load of duplicates you can have including some expensive PA items like plans for Optimised Servos & a few other like Plasma Guns which sell for around 1000 Caps ingame! I got them from going on a massive treasure hunt digging up the treasure at the 30 or so locations gives you plans, weapons & other goodies most I already owned or bought for big caps though ;)

Sounds good, you on long enough for a SBQ run?

Thanks for the plans I had most of them :p hope you found some of mine in return useful. As for SBQ as you could see some players cause the SBQ to just hang there its takes a sill amount of DMG now hardly worth doing anymore the dupers use so much firepower it causes the SBQ to just hang there seen it happen a lot recently  It either goes down fast if not within a few minutes its rarely worth continuing in the battle as the timer runs out :(

Have to go for now will be on later though if we meet again and go inside Tek I will get you a Lvl 50 SS & repair with my 20-22 INT then hand to you as that is easy for me to do on my build ;)

I think it glitched rather than anything to do with dupers. Another player i've been doing SBQ runs with told me that if people stand at the top of that fort then she rarely lands. Next time i'll launch it further south so that platform is in the nuke zone.

I dunno if you saw, but i CTD about 5 mins in, when i rejoined the queen was invisible to me. I could see her scream attacks, but couldn't see her or her health bar. Very annoying :(, the one i launched earlier we all got down to about 5% health before the time ran out.

Really hoping they bring some stability updates this week, as it's just taking the fun out of doing SBQ runs.

@ Semple Dupers are causing the glitches IME as the same players have these 1-2 shot massive DMG weapons which take down the SBQ in a few shots or it glitches & you never get to down her within the time limit. Had one player the other day they took the SBQ out with a single 1-2 shot BEFORE anymore else could get a single shot in so none of us got any loot  as you need to register at least 1 hit on her.

Bethesda attitude is warn the dupers & let them off the hook instead of ban or suspend them so its going to be some time until this practice is stopped. Still no sign of the nerfs as the next patch is not yet dated but since the announcement I noticed SBQ runs are very rare now & most of them end in failure (run out of time with not enough DMG administered to the SBQ).

I am finding drops are so random its also hardly worth doing found some 1 or 2 shot LEG weapons from random drops its so hit or miss :(

Did not see your CTD either but when we do Tek your character goes invisible sometimes to me. Also I got a bad glitch earlier I could not exit the PA suit to repair weapons when we were fighting in the nuke keycard mission it refused to let me exit the PA to repair the circuits!

I've spent my atom points on trivial decoration stuff because I felt like it, so I took a look at the challenges to earn some more.

I found a number of challenges (in the "world" section, I think), for visiting 5 locations in each area. I have them all apart from Cranberry Bog at 3 or 4 out of 5, but I have visited all the locations. Mousing over them brings up a list of qualifying locations and I've been to them all. For example, it says I haven't visited Top of the World, but I've been there at least a dozen times. An irritating bug.

I've collected all the Overseer's logs, but the quest won't complete or give me any indication of any remaining logs. I listened to the mountainside B&B tape again as it was suggested that might complete the quest, but it didn't.

Anyone got any ideas on those bugs?

I got my first 3* legendary tonight...a pipe pistol with 20% extra damage, faster movement while aiming and something else useless. Sold it for 5 caps to a vendor. Yay. I also noticed that I have nearly 1000 screws. Probably more than enough :)

Nearly done now - I just have most of the cranberry bog and a small part of the savage divide to explore and the later parts of the BoS and Enclave questlines to complete.
