**** Official Fallout 76 Thread ****

I know what a t00l after we helped him as well! I disabled Pacifist to clump him but as you saw he quit to the menu  sorry I have to stop for now my right shoulder is hurting I have been playing about 10 hours today LOL ;) at least you got to launch your nuke but next time maybe the usual spot for better drops (we hope!) ;)

I was trying to somehow point out to you that you were running very low on health! And cause you died from radiation it meant I couldn't respawn you :(

Now I think about it, I think I spotted a bug. Because you both died very close to each other, I noticed his stash vanished while yours remained. I don't know whether his got removed, or whether it merged with yours. Either way considering he was nearly lvl 70 he should have at least realised he wasn't picking up his dropped stash.

Pvp rules would have prevented you from killing him anyway, all you'd have been dealing is slap damage until he decided to log.

 hope you didn't lose too much.

EDIT: Forgot to mention I tried Harpers Ferry because I've been nuking fissure prime and whitesprings quite a lot over the last few days. - could you not tell how well I rushed through the silo? :p

Anyway, it was a very disappointing area to drop one on, I couldn't understand why the scorched weren't glowing, I thought blast zones always made them glowing - perhaps bugged.

EDIT2: when you mentioned about being able to leave the silo after finish prepping and return where you left off. When we got back down there and we had to recreate the biocards, I thought at that point we had to start again! It was only until we got to the nuclear reactor that I realised it had saved that we'd already completed this bit.

They've updated the pre-patch notes...it's going to be even worse than the version you quoted! They're radically nerfing the explosive legendary effect as well as the 2 shot one. So you can have the fun of using a bazillion rounds to kill the most powerful mob and maybe get a plan to make a table that you already have!

Yeah I think it's unfair to nerf the TSE there are other weapons out there that are just as powerful. If anything they just need to fix the glitch that allows you to stack the effects of bobbleheads and does the damage that @AWPC mentioned.

The only people that are whinging about it is anyone who goes pvping, most of us with TSE's have pacifist on so we're not slap damaging a dozen people when shooting at the SBQ for example.

Very little ;) as I followed you to your den & put the valuable stuff away or scrapped it beforehand! Its the principle more than anything  I managed to get about half his health down then he vanished !

Yeah the radiation seems worse in that area after a nuke. I tried nuking Toxic Valley around the water park to see if the nuke would vaporise the lakes nearby (it should have melted them!) & show something cool underneath :D but nothing whatsever it was a total waste of a nuke :(

I think it's more that Bethesda don't have the knowledge or resources to run an online game than some players duping items.
The $750M day one sales of Fallout 4 in 2015 went to their heads they just cannot see beyond that now :( I doubt the people in charge like Todd Howard care much about it they must have made so much money out of Fallout 4 alone its probably for him only a few hours work a day nowadays (from home as well most likely!). All these companies eventually drop the ball the people who originally cared eventually get very rich & sitting around doing the long hours & hard work of making a complex game work is low on their priorities

@AWPC when are you next on for some more SBQ hunting? I really need to find some serum recipes!

I've been trying to buy some godly legendaries - (specifically bloodied Grognaks axe with quicker swing speed and 90% reduced weight). But most people these days only seem to be trading weapons rather than selling for caps because everyones hit max cap limit.

Serum recipes have a market value of about 8-12k caps, so are a great resource to trade with.

Soon!

I should be on early evening, i think i've got a few nuclear keycards left, but if i have some spare time i'll hunt for a few more.
See you then ;) I managed to get about 6 * Legendary Weapons early this morning none are any good really but they all dropped in the Whitesprings Golf Club within a few moments of each others the drops are so random! Then found 3 rare weapon plans in +3 Lockpick Safes all in a row in the same location

When I got griefed yesterday I also lost my Melee Bobblehead which is a great shame as it was giving me +20% DMG at all times! it says 3 hours in the status panel but unless you play 3 hours straight if you go back to the next session something resets it & it goes back to 3 hours so its a constant + 20 DMG  I had that little sucker for several weeks giving me + 20DMG now its gone and all the usual drops are empty everytime I check them :( someone else has noticed the Bobbleheads give a constant benefit as long as you do not get killed & keep topping your health up they seem to last forever if you have the Perk Card equipped to double life of bobbleheads & magazines ;)

Currently I am using the INT bobblehead for a constant +2 INT which is probably more valuable than +20DMG Melee anyway ;) You can only ever use 1 type of Bobblehead at the same time if you try to use another it replaces & cancels out the currently equipped Bobblehead.

Looks like finally Bethesda managed to upset lots of dedicated players with their pointless nerfs & balancing options

Been finding the last few days since the announcement of the upcoming nerfs all Lvl 95 SBQ events are now hardly populated & few nukes are being launched players seem to no longer care about the game enough to attend these & take their 3 chances in 100 + random odds  of landing a decent 3 star legendary drop :(

Game is also very unstable now get constant CTD's without warning either it needs hotfix server maintenance or hackers are deliberately causing this either way the game went from rock solid stable to so unstable you cannot even travel to your own camp without it crashing in the last few hours

The only upside from all of this is the world is not being emptied as much as before so you have more chance of finding stuff which was previously being scavved constantly by traders. I just wish Bethesda would listen more to the players though there is no way the game can continue in its present state the upcoming new releases will take even more players away and after 3 months there has not been a single piece of DLC to add new content

@Semple Sorry I have to go for now cannot enter any high rad zones. I do not have any Stimpacks, Radaway or any health packs of any kind! Sold the lot earlier whilst buying up 6000 Caps worth of Plans I do not have so also low on Caps as well ;)

@ Angilion
Someone found handmade plans here when they were lvl95 the plans only go up to lvl 45 when you craft them but you can still find its all random when they drop!

That's good to know, thank you. I roam around a lot and I'm constantly on the lookout for plans. Perhaps I'll find one before I stop playing. I'm nearly done and I doubt if I'll play after doing all the quests and exploring every location. There's no legs in FO76.

I now have a drum magazine on my hand made rifle. 85 rounds. It's a mixed blessing because it encourages using many bullets :)

Despite Bethesda doing everything it seems to put players off with stupid nerfs & other random rash decisions  I have to laugh at this someone built their base as a pirate boat in the water  :)

Nicely done! I've seen a couple of bases making innovative use of existing structures in order to stretch the very limited building budget.

I've gone for an early medieval royal hall kind of structure, a nicely made (I bought some stuff from the atom shop with points I got in-game) wooden hall. Clean bed, a wood-burning stove for heating, shuttered windows (which also double as a vantage point for shooting from if necessary), spacious workshop area. An extension for a fusion generator, a small farm and heavy defensive walls (concrete foundation blocks). I picked a wide ledge on a cliff so only one direction needs serious defenses. It doesn't really as it's very rare for any mob to wander into range, but I have spotlights and heavy machinegun turrets sweeping the area and dozens of punji traps in the narrow extrance.

I might go looking for a lead deposit and camp there - I'm not getting quite as much lead as I'd like. I know I'm over-using the handmade rifle, but I like it. Long range, mid range, short range, it does it all. I'd like full auto on it, but I'd need a much better source of lead for that even with ammo smith and super duper perks.

@Semple Forgot to mention I got the Grognaks axe earlier as a drop just need to mod it a bit now ;) :p

@Anglion There is a +3 Perk Card for every weapon type to reduce the amount of materials to repair & craft so look to build those up to save lead. Sooner or later you get so overpowered you never run out of anything even Ultracite! One thing the game world has way too much of is pretty much every material you need! there are also loads of buffs & receipes which extend the life of items or boost XP.

Right now I am scavving for everything & gathering medicines & health packs again to build my supplies up as I went mad earlier & spent about 6000 Caps on Plans so I am short of everything required to survive for long!

I hadn't even noticed that repairing guns used any lead. Why would it? It's not relevant anyway, given how rarely I need to repair them. I run with maxxed Gunsmith in play and I swap maxxed Weapon Artisan into play when repairing. With repairing to 200% condition and degradation at 50% of normal, I don't need to repair guns very often. Not even my shotgun, which is far, far worse for degrading than my rifle.

Where I use lead in abundance is for ammunition. I already swap in maxxed ammosmith (80% more ammunition per unit of resources) and maxxed Super Duper (often craft double the amount when crafting things) when making ammunition, so I'm making at least double overall.

I'm using basic weapons, no legendaries. At 93 damage per shot, which is as good as it gets for a handmade rifle even with 15 perception and all the rifleman perks, that means using a lot of bullets. I solo everything and a high level mirelurk queen can take a couple of hundred bullets alone.

Yeah i've noticed it's emptied quite a bit, but i suspect that's more to do with the CTD's than nerfs. No-one wants to go through the effort of launching a nuke, to then crash when they FT to the blast zone. I'm happy to launch nukes with anyone, but need to team up so if i CTD i can rejoin again.

Ah you should have said, got stacks of the stuff!

I have the best source of lead!

Each of the 3 silo's has a gym, before you need to get past the laser grid, so you only need General rank with the enclave.

Anyway the gym has stacks of weight, i'm talking of ~100 lead. On the flip side when you pick it up, you'll gain about 500Ibs of weight, so you either have to go further into the silo to scrap it all, or have a slow walk out to a workstation as you won't be able to FT.

I have my base very near site Charlie so it's not too much of a walk back.

Nice, 3*?

I picked up a 1* this morning as well, but i'm really after a 3*. Trying to see if someone will sell me one for 10k caps.
1* I got it yesterday when we cleared outside Tek Systems together! That is how random drops are 3 chances in 100 roughly someone worked out the odds of getting something decent. Did you not see me wielding it like excalibur ;)

Also got 5 different 1* weapons last night from Whitesprings Golf but none are any good I sold them all.

Still no resource though I am out of caps, stimpacks etc etc until I can scav some more!

Whitesprings stilll seems to be the best place to farm for Legendaries. It's just RNG what you get and I don't think the luck perk comes into it. The other day I farmed the golf club and it was full of level 1 diseased bots and there was quite a few legendaries but all where level 1. I got a two shot pipe gun at level 1 doing 80 damage.

Has anyone come accross the Rad scrubbers for the Excavator power armour yet? I'm on the lookout for it as it would free up 3 perks for removing radiation from food and water.
