Getting a bit frustrated with this.

One game I can beat top of the division Chelsea 3-0 and the next I'm losing 1-0 to bottom of the table West Brom.

I got beaten 3-0.
I had a look at the players on the opposing side, not one was better than any of my team.
I have a look at the league above, their quality of players isn't up to mine.

Getting frustrated with having much better team, that 100% knows the tactics, and get on well with each other not crushing other teams when they should pretty much always do so.

Not going on a 5 game lose streak against teams with tackling of ~10 and finishing of ~10.

EDIT : I'm also getting really annoyed with AI problems.
There's a 20 year old striker (16 finishing) I've expressed interest in, he's currently reserve team for a team in the same league.
He responds very well to positive comments I've made, has expressed an interest in joining (His agent called me as per his request for me to offer him a contract) but won't discuss a contract with me.
What a load of crap.

It's a very strange game that's for sure. It's great and addictive, but also very odd at times. I can't really work it out. I am one of the top teams in the world now, after having developed my club for 10 seasons. Talk about dedication - but i just got beat 8-0 by Man City. I mean, what the hell.. Yet games before and after I am winning comfortably. It's just plain odd. I don't get it at all. The problem is of course, taking a 8-0 defeat KILLS morale. My team were superb and very good prior, and instantly poor afterwards. As a result, I then went on to lose two games after this to lower league clubs. That is just wrong to me. Talk about random.

I've had this too. It turns out it was because I (as the manager) didn't warrant enough attention due to my reputation. I'm now a world class manager and have no such problems ;) But I agree it does seem wrong, or a bit buggy at least.

City trashed United something like 7-0 no? Happens in the real world too.

Haven't been able to play in over 2 weeks, back from hols now, so can get back to my project with Harrogate Town :)

That thing with the goal on tactic change still isn't fixed. Just had a match where they went 1-0 up after I changed tactics at 60min, then after I made a sub at 75min I went up 2-1 no goals registered

I do not like FM(sims)13 and have gone back to 09 and I think it has gone downhill since then, I wonder if I could use the data from FM13 to update FM09?

Gave in and bought this a week or so back and after two seasons, I can safely say, Man City are stupidly good. Think they've lost 1 game over both seasons now.

Think my Burnly save has reached it conclusion after 8 seasons, not motivated to play it any further.

My last update was a couple of months ago, but I took a month off to play other games.
Continued on from the end of season 6 having become the England manager as well.

Season 7 won League Cup and FA Cup, finished 3rd in the premiership for the 2nd time in a row (but lost to Bayern Munich in the Champions League 1st knock out round). Also had 96% stadium capacity and £50m in the bank but the board still wont increase turf moor as they don't think we have the fan base.

So I decided to spend all my cash on a few promising youngsters in protest. Unfortunately I then had to renew a bunch of 1st teamers contracts who all demanded double their wages to renew (curse me for being successful!) As a result my wage bill is now £1.1m p/w and with a little ass 21k capacity stadium I'm losing £3m a month.

In season 8 I again won the domestic cup double, but more importantly won my first premier league title, just scraped ahead of United by a point (lost the champions league semi to Barcelona).

In England news, I qualified for the 2020 Euro Championships easily (including a memorable 8-1 win over Scotland). I then went on to beat Czech Republic 2-0 in the final to win that as well.

Which is a jolly period of success, just feels a little flat now as the only things left to win are the Champions League and the World Cup. And the World Cup is out of the question as the majority English regens are awful (my entire first 11 are current players and most will retire soon).

Edit: One of the reasons for the flatness is that after 8 seasons my 1st team still contains 7 or 8 players that were young 1st team players in season 4 that I have just let mature. In addition to using the same tactics for 5 years it doesn't feel like I'm contributing enough picking the same players and tactics year after year.

I also noticed recently that Mario Gomez scored 8 goals in Bayern Munich's 10-0 defeat of Club Africain in the World Club Championship. Mmmm...

I'm on the verge of getting sacked as manger of Man Utd. Got beat 4-1 by Arsenal in League Cup and then 3-0 by Liverpool in the League. I'm playing Spurs next so don't see things getting any better.

Sign Hamsik and Alaba and you will be fine:)

Just got beat 4-2 by Fulham. Dejagah got all 4 goals. Playing Man City next who have just beaten Chelsea 6-0 despite having 10 men for most of the second half.

Strange goings on. :(

edit//

Just beaten Man City 2-0 despite them being around 7 points clear in the League. This is getting silly now.

And then draw 0-0 with Hull.

It is odd, but curiously addictive at the same time.

I kind of like how things pan out. It definitely pays to invest time in a club. I've been at Huddersfield Town for 11 seasons now, and have completely reshaped it from top to bottom in my time. The last season was probably my best as a result. I won the Premiership, the Champions League, the Macdonalds Trophy thing and a world fifa cup thing. I can now finally afford to spend £60 million in one hit.. But I've noticed bad things too. Players wages at this level - £155k-£200k a week! Is that for real? Most of my top guys are total divas now.

I've also just ditched 17 staff - scouts with player judging at 17/18/19 just doesn't cut it for me anymore lol.. Only 20/20 for me now.. Although even that is a challenge now as every top scout is already with a team. It gets very expensive poaching! Every staff member has to be up there with the best of the best.. Now that I can finally afford them..

Most of my players start out as youth transfers - even though I have the best youth facilities in the game I'm lucky if one of them a year is cut out for the first team within a few years. So I have to buy in. I tend to buy a handful evey year and nurture them. Some of them work out quite well, others don't. But it's the only way I can get some balance. Obviously I can't afford to splash the cash on every top player every season. I've spent £45 million on one striker this season so far. That's probably about it for me now..

Is there any other way of finding good transfers other than having to scout them all individually. The scout doesn't seem to be doing any actual scouting that he's assigned to do (searching for talent)

Also how do I know who to sign at the start of the season? Just players for positions that I need?

I forgot to mention that Barcelona have offered me £13.75m for....wait for it....Darren Fletcher!

This is in the 2013/14 season. He's still only 29 so I'm in two minds whether to sell.

Picked it back up a little bit after the transfer window didn't seem too bad. Won the super cup and the community shield :)

Just lost my star left winger to training injury that will keep him out for 8 months  the phrase har har football manager thanks for making me play an 18 year old for half a season who probably isn't ready....

No I am playing as Huddersfield in the Premier League. 6 of my star first team are German lol.. It's hell when they ALL get picked for international duties..

How do you add them as View only? I have no option for that when I add leagues.

When you start a new game, when you add leagues it should say 'Playable' in a column. Click that and change it to view only. It lets you view leagues, gives more access to players within those leagues, and also will give you a few more newgens from that country.
