Just downloaded the demo and took the soft option and started a game with Rangers.

Seems much more involved than I remember Champ Man when I used to play it. Enjoying it so far but can see it being extremely time consuming !
 
Unsure whether I should buy it this year! Have got it every year up until last as I do not think the changes per year were worth shelling out for what was essentially a data update.

What to do, what to do!
 
A couple of inexperienced questions here:

- I bought the game through Green Man Gaming (first time I've used a service like this) and was issued with a code to download. Would I have downloaded the Beta version or the Demo?

- What do I do as of full release? Do I have to download further content (full game) as I understand they're not releasing a patch.

Apologies for the basic questions, but I didn't actually play the game when I downloaded the initial material (just wanted to look at the squads0 and I've not been anywhere near my laptop since then as it's at a different residence.

Any advice would be welcome!

I'm getting rather excited about this. I used to have a nice City-type job which saw me work 8-8 minimum every day and therefore I missed out on playing from 2006 to the end of 2008... although I bought the games each year simply to see how the Brentford squad had been rated.

7 minutes into the first day back at work on 2009 I thought "Sod it! I miss FM too much" So I handed in my notice period, walked out of work, took all my stuff from my flat back to my parents and then put together 20 days of gameplay during January alone!? I didn't shave, I barely washed, I had Dominos every day and it was AMAZING!

I think I might quit my current job too! :D

Serious, hate my investors. One refuses to speak to me or anyone in my sister-company, and I haven't had any contact with him for 3 months :eek: such a douchebag. Can't be bothered to work with them anymore.

I think when depends on how my start to my first season goes - I could realistically resign on Monday, but my gameplay might be restricted this weekend by the girlfriend. :) She's allowing me to resign and fold the company, but has refused to let me survive on Dominos. Apparently I'm allowed to play all day (up to our holiday at Christmas) but I have to do at least one hour of outdoor exercise and I'm not allowed any takeaways. :o

Could do what a mate of mine did, he spent somewhere close to 6 years of secondary school (that he lived round the corner from) running home every lunch and just hammering FM/champ manager.

Got bad in 6th form where he was in about 30% less so just wasn't there, instead he was home, in the dark eating cold dominos.

Glorious way to live the teen years!
 
Ive just bought this on Steam, i can download something? is that the beta? its out tomorrow right? so i thought it might be the full game?
