Match day engine looks interesting so far
"We've made a host of massive changes to the visuals for 2013...
* Thanks to a licencing agreement with Bulgaria's top sportswear manufacturer Anakronistik, player's boots now come in not only black but also a range of exciting new colours that brings the game in line with current football trends, including Charcoal, Anthracite, Wet Slate, Grimsby Twilight and Fashanu Noir.
* This agreement also means we're able to update the referee and assistant kits with the same colours, across all competitions. Accuracy is our watchword!
* Advertising boards have seen a revolutionary makeover - now, the angle between the front and back of the boards can be set by the manager from the Club > Boardroom > Info > Stadium > Advertising screen [once unlocked]. Just like the pitch-side advertising you see in all the real-life top leagues in this, the century of dynamic electronics and at least half a dozen versions of Football Manager.
* We thought it was about time that we paid homage to all those matchday staff that give up their saturdays to look impassively and determinedly away from the action, so for 2013 we've put them in the game. Look out for them in the stands wearing the No-Vis jackets!
* We feel that cup finals and major tournaments should be real showpieces; games that transcend the ordinary and become the games that remain in the memory long after you've unlocked all the Steam achievements. That's why we've upped the tickertape count by 25% and the flares count from 1 to 2.
* And it's not just the visuals that have been overhauled - new in Football Manager 2013 is an audio engine that perfectly mimics that "80,000 crowd with the volume turned down" crowd sound you definitely
definitely hear at all midweek evening non-league matches. Coupled with some serious tweaking to our industry-leading "PlayerShush" on-pitch audio simulator by sound-engineering wizard L.N.Keller and his team, it's 100% immersion for all you Lower League Managers..."
