Eh, I haven't played FM in ages.
How does it run on 'lower' machines?
i got a laptop for school. Intel B980, 2GB RAM (1600MHz), no dedicated graphics card. Last year it felt slow on my PC, let alone on my laptop.
I'll mainly play on my PC, but I wouldn't mind a few games when not at home

I've no idea I'm afraid. I run on a top spec laptop, and it now feels more responsive than 13 did. But that might be because I have completely customized the database. But I have read on the SI forum that there is some optimization taking place and generally the consensus is that it feels quicker for most people. I must say, the match engine is vastly improved in my opinion, and that has been tweaked in the fluidity department for sure. But with a much slower machine - I can't say for sure.
I play on my laptop and it runs completely fine - don't know the spec of the thing but it's not brilliant. I have 98,000 players and it runs at between half and one star rating in the game, and it's completely fine.
Playing on laptop is great - play at the desk, on the sofa, in bed, on the train, flying and when I go back to my parents for the weekend (if there's nowt better to do).

haha my save is Stockport. I've just got them into League 1
hard work though and now I'm probably in for a stuffing. Word of advice if you get to where I am. Don't buy the stadium!! Although it saves £175k a year the board took out a £6.5m loan to buy it

downloaded the demo earlier today, started as man united, played a game, decided to go for a challenge. So i started with Vijle.
A team predicted to finish 3rd in the Danish 2nd league. I started with £0 transfer budget, and £-11,000 wage budget, and a small squad
Fail played 3 or 4 matches, most being draws or close losses, (by 1 goal) and just won my last one by 7-2 :O
I also spoke to my board to try and get a parent club, but they would only allow me to ask for feeder teams, of which i already had 3, at least 2 of which were amateur clubs

I *think* the feature was disabled in the last beta update for some reason, according to what I read. Not sure why or if it will be reinstated. My splash screen no longer has beta splashed over it..

Hey quick question - when you install your face packs/graphics etc, do you keep them in specific folders or just chuck them all in one folder.
I've got some premiership kits I want to use - do i unzip them individually into the kits folder or just leave them in kits/premiership folder etc.

As long as they are in the correct Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2014 folder\graphics\kits, it doesn't matter. Each set of kits has a config.xml file that tells FM what to do with the pics.
My graphics folder is, "C:\Users\Marc\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2014\graphics". I have \kits and \pictures as sub-folders of \graphics.

chose Sparta Rotterdam in the full game and the board still won't allow me to get a parent team -.-

wooo game came today! going to fix wolves!
Transfers are broken in the main game, teams offer pathetic amounts for players. In the demo I sold roger Johnson for 3million which is a fair amount for a great player so I offer him out and I only get offered 425k when his evaluation is 1.7mil!
Don't know if I can play this game getting hassled for my players with awful offers! leeds offer for stearman with 90k wtf is that?!

this game is seriously broken, 4 games so far with wolves and ive lost games 1-0 with them having max 1 shot lol its pathetic.
You are still playing the Beta until midnight tonight, the game is not released until then.
And, the game is not seriously broken. Defeats happen, underdogs win. There are games when **** happens. Post your tactics and match and I am sure a few people here would help.
And to be honest I think this version is the best it has ever been for transfers. You can't expect to offer out players and then expect to get top value for them. I am not being funny, but no way is Johnson worth 3m!! I would say 1m at tops. And, if you are offering them out to clubs, then no club is going to pay what you ask (or highly unlikely anyway).
