Is it me or are work permits broken?

A lad was given a work permit, however it says he requires one :confused:

I restarted and signed him again, same thing.

It says he's been granted a conditional work permit, but I can't actually use him.

I don't have a feeder club as far as I'm aware, as in FM13 if a player was granted a work permit, that's it, he could play for you.

That is strange. Unless there's a specific reason, I'd report it. Get on to the SI forums and ask there. This would annoy me a lot!
 
Yeah it's a glitch, SI confirmed it.

Their response ;

It looks to be happening when you sign a non-EU player from another British club, who are in a different nation.

So this will happen when signing any non-EU players from a Scottish club with an English club.


Quite a sizeable bug.

I'm experiencing exactly the same problem. I'm currently 5th in Feb but I tend to lose the easiest of games which is annoying. Some of them are stonkers - like 6-1 etc etc. That really kills the morale.. I've got 10 teams with a few points on each other. So it changes massively every game or so. It's very competitive.

sortitoutsi has everything you will need.

I see this game is the same as every other year full of problems it's about time SI games sort this out it's stupid every year this is why I refuse to buy the game now until after Jan plus they i don't like how they are not even trying to get licenses for proper names/logos so on.

Why don't they just release it every few years but offer each year data update it has become just like fifa an excuse to charge high price for few little changes.
 
Don't forget guys last years beta keepers would deflect crosses and corners into there own net, defenders didn't know how to clear and scored own goals all the time and 2 years before that rooney was banned from playing for England indefinitely on release which was later patched. There will most likely be some big bugs but SI are normally quick to fix them.

SI aren't a big enough or rich enough company to do that. They have to release a new copy of FM each year to keep money rolling in.

Exactly. I don't mind paying each year, there's never massive changes but enough small ones to keep me interested. I paid £24 for FM13 and had 462hours out of it according to steam :eek:
 
I would just like to thank toshj for his help when I set up my first game in the beta with a custom database. I now have an amazing array of talent to choose from and from all over! It's the most diverse database I've ever seen in game.

I am still only league 2 and I cannot scout outside the UK but oh my, some of these players look incredible! I'm taking a big risk here, I have found an attacking midfielder from spain who looks the business. He has scored 7 goals in 20 games and I can see some of his stats and they are in the mid-high teens. He is prepared to join me for £1600 per week on a free transfer. I am half tempted to grab him. I can't scout him remember.. So it's a big risk. He's 19 at worth £120k and just moved from Malaga to a smaller club by the looks.

Well... I am incredible. So it's understandable! Haha :)

I must admit, I take the cheeky option of unmasking players attributes, so the scouting necessity doesn't really play a role in my saves.
 
By god...3rd season with Crewe, managed to grab promotion last season via play-offs...now I am struggling...The players that would boost my team want too much wages, so I'm doing what Crewe do best, losing...also, using youth team players...a striker I am using, from my academy, is wanted by nearly everyone in the Prem due to being damn good at just 16...

Although, this season will be tough, 7 games played, 4 points, no wins...bottom of the table...
