******* Official Football Manager 14 Thread *******

just finished the 2015/2016 season with real madrid. After 8 or so games I was 8 points clear of Barca nad had played and drawn with them at the Nou Camp. Since then the gap stayed the sameuntil the last few matches of the season where Barca seem to just fold and lose more and more points on me.

Knocked out of the champions league 7-2 on aggregate to FCP :O and lost to Barca in the Spanish cup final on penalties. Annoyed :(

I also managed to go the entire 2015 calender year unbeaten in competetive matches :)

I went 42 games unbeaten in the league and in all competitions about 54 games unbeaten

It's much better in my opinion to start at the bottom and work your way up. It's a significant challenge. Just play steady and the results will come. I've just managed to grab my first £70 million transfer - and I started below you in the Blue Bet North.

Yeah agree, in the process of my Gateshead save, got them up to the championship. Problem is if you do successive promotions or even steady promotions your attendances don't keep up with your success. Anyone know any way to speed this process up?

Yeah that is a problem. Although in my save my club got taken over quite early on, and I had some rich Russian dude throwing money at me. I've managed to get my stadium up to 25000 seats now (from 4000), but still only have 6500 season tickets. Stature of the club will increase in time, but it will take many seasons to improve.

Having said that, for whatever reason in my save, my low turnouts are not effecting my budget. I was just given £82 million to blow in one transfer window, and that was not due to my rich owner. I finished 3rd in the BPL which is my highest achievement to date with the club. I think the more successful you are, the bigger sponsorship deals you get. One deal I had for one year was £42 million! I think this is more important than bums on seats. It's definitely improved since the last patch and this was never the case in FM2013. Sponsorship deals were meager before.

Sorry but that sound BROKEN! £42M a year?! That sounds too high! Even more for a club that doesn't even win the league!

haha.. It does sound a bit extravagant. Having said that, I've been keeping an eye on the sponsorship deals over the last few seasons. I've had 4 x £12 million + 1 year deals so far, and a few £25 million deals over a couple of seasons. I'm the 20th richest club in the world I think it said. Not bad for a club that was insecure at best in the lowest professional league. Maybe it is something to do with my rich owner after all I don't know. But I'm not complaining ;) Anyone else getting mega sponsorship in the Premier League?

Does anyone know what possible programs installed on your PC can interfere with FM?

I have started having issues where the game crashes randomly and often, SI have said AVG antivirus can interfere with FM14 so I am wondering about other players experiences on this.

I always keep an eye on sponsorships too, and I've never seen that kind of money. Although I never had a sugar daddy chairman, let alone a foreign (Russian, Chinese, Arab) mega rich owner.

Its a lot of money though!

Doesn't every Dev say that about all antivirus software? :p Try checking the integrity of the game cache.

Swansea, Braunchweig, Udinese, Schalke, Hellas Verona, Sassuolo, Lyon, Marsielle, Shaktar Donetsk etc.

I would pick a team that is one of the favourites to go down, maybe Cardiff City or perhaps Athletic Bilbao if you fancy their annoying transfer policy.

I'm currently in my third season with Wolfsburg and enjoying it so far. I was expected to finish 8th for the first season, managed to get 4th spot and in the second season I finished 2nd after expecting to finish in the top four. Just managed to sign Gotze for £27m as well, going well so far!

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!!!

Next game I play Hoffenheim. After that I have Schalke, Freiburg, Stutgard, and finally Werder Bremen. I need to win vs Hoffenheim and Bremen. I need 6 points from the other 3 games to stay in the Bundeliga. If I get less, I will probably play the play outs.
